“Thought we were soft. Didn’t bring the physicality or toughness. Punked us. They’re not getting after it like they’re supposed to. They’re not doing what they’re supposed to do.”

That's unreal. I've never seen a team go from Jekyll to Hyde that much in a month unless there was an injury to their only star player.

But but but, they kept saying we was a top 10 offense and the best, how can this be?

What else do you expect from an offense built around missing shots then rebounding them, only now with our best rebounder out?

    Opposition teams defensive coordinator:
"Hey coach, I got an idea. Amen can't shoot and Alpy loves to stand around the 3pt line. Let's flip the coverage and then have both guys cheat to the paint.
If KD gets it, just blitz him with Alpy's defender and leave Amen's defender in the paint to cover"

Coach: "but what if they kick it to Okogie or Jabari for a dribble drive attack?"

    "Hahahahahahahahahaha"

You can't just build an entire offensive gameplan around offensive rebounding. It's just unsustainable long term. We need to find ways to score off the first try.

Ime disagrees, he thinks they just need to focus on more defense.

We keep repeating the silly idea that we're #5 in offense. Actually, everyone has caught up to our scheme. And now they are punishing it.

It was .... while everyone was shooting lights out. Now those same players can't hit the broad side of a barn with a shotgun at point blank range.

If only somebody in time had figured out a way to get people easier looks at the hoop, and make the other team struggle to defend. Alas, it appears we're doomed.

It's such a shame we couldn't find a playmaking offense mastermind to add to the team because none were available or wanted to join the squad.
