Stone playing it safe to not lose him job. Dude was a lawyer for the Rockets...Stone got the GM job because he was a familiar face within the Rockets organization when Tilman Fertitta bought the team...Stone has 0% basketball operations experience with exception of drafting up the legal language within a contract. Stone doesn't know scouting players...just all luck for him
When we lose in the first round because we can’t bring the ball up the court, people need to get fired.
ok but w/ that hair the only thing I gaf about is WHO IS THE STONE COLD LEAD PIPE 16-STAR LOCK OF THE WEEK??? edit: so this isn't a completely useless post. I think trading Tari or Bari is a mistake. In particular I think some are desensitized to Tari b/c he'll get a bag we can't afford in the offseason, but there's a decent chance we can work out a trade and get a great return in that scenario. Certainly likely to land a(n) asset(s) of equal or greater value than 4 months of Coby White. But value offset aside. The real reason is when you're an elite team you're 4-5-6-7 marginal 50/50 games away from playing for a Championship. Not many 4th, 5th, 6th, offensive options on teams have the capability to be that X-Factor for an entire series or multiple games in the playoffs. Tari does. I don't know if the player will get for will have that capacity.
They better get a top 2 seed to avoid a matchup with the top 5 otherwise they will get bounced round 1. No offense, no ball handling. it's cute during the regular season but everyone outside of Houston knows it wont work in the playoffs.
What’s frustrating to me isn’t not making a trade so much as it feels like we are straightjacketed into a mid-to-low tier playoff team that maybe loses in the 2nd round at best. And it’s so glaring that we need another guard. But hopefully I’m wrong and we out-perform my pessimism.
