I’d be willing to trade Sengun for #1 pick if it meant getting a guard like Peterson. Maybe move Amen back to a forward and trade probably trade jabari

 

Ime Udoka destroyed the once-creative & selfless Sengun we had in his rookie seasons. The Sengun coached by him always looks for those low iq isos and his defense became worse year after year. Yes, his stats are much better, but that's not the baby Jokic & high iq magician we were once crazy about

 

Sengun seems like he took a decline after being an all star. I remember how outspoken he was about how important it was for him to be one. I thought it was strange that he would express it as many times as he did. But it’s making sense now. What’s his motivation now?

Before blaming players, I would seriously consider replacing coaching staff. Ben Sullivan must go and bring Mike Malone as Assistant Coach with a pressure to replace Ime if he can’t cooperate new offensive system. If Ime cannot change the offensive system he should consider walking away from the job this off season because Knicks will be very interested getting Ime and possibly work out some deal with them.

 

Him, Tari and Jabari need to go. But Stone is going to hold on to them too long and then look to trade them when their value plummet. Ime needs to go too

still think Sengun can be special, but not if he can’t make mid-range shots. I’m disappointed that it looks like we’ll have to wait until yr6 to find out. Right now, no.

 

This. The whole coaching staff is to be blamed. The lack of the offensive system/sets is hard to watch. Defense isn't any better either.

Sengun and Amen sure as hell aren't a threat from the 3. They are terrible. Durant enables us to spread the ball around more to keep the defense from simply teaming up on Amen and Sengun the whole time. He's a deep threat. I wish Ime would just give more of Durant's minutes to Reed. It keeps Durant fresher, minimizes turnovers, and you still have a threat from the arc.

 

I've been saying this since Udoka's first year. Making Sengun a "score-first" type player is absolutely gross mismanagement and development.

 

This is on Ime. I dunno why he’s putting Jabari and Tari on Embid. Just let Sengun guard him. The forcing the ball to KD offense just doesn’t work. The rockets need to all just play more aggressive and try to score. Using KD as a decoy helps our offense but everyone just runs around like a deer in headlights when KD is out there trying to get him the ball. The live ball turnovers that guarantee 2 points for the other team absolutely kill us. We won those games when KD was out cuz everyone else played more aggressive I hate how they play with KD. Let the young guys cook.

I don't agree with the thread's premise, but it does feel like successful teams with passing bigs look better at utilizing those guys (Draymond, Sabonis, Jokic, etc).
