Funny enough, you know who would be really good for the Rockets right now? KPJ. Like, unironically. Still turns it over a bit more than anyone would like, still a bit weaker on defense than anyone would prefer, but he can hit the 3 better than most on the team currently, is a better ball handler than most on the team, and is a better creator for himself and others than most on the team currently. Also, he could be had for filler if the Bucks throw in the towel on the season. I know that would make a lot of people cry, but...you know.
In all seriousness, if we could get KPJ for Jeff Green, JD Davison, and Tate....don't you have to at least consider it if we're trying to go all in?
1st page? Portland is actually a decent team who was playing well and had a win streak. They've beaten some good teams (including us twice). Sac is not Portland. Even thought they beat us recently, they are slumping and we will beat them. (But I wouldn't bet Hou -13.5.)
Sure, but why would Milwaukee do that. Are you willing to add a frp? I doubt Ime would have KPJ for pocket change, but that’s another problem in itself.
Yeah, I'd be fine with that. I think the reason the Bucks do it is because I think they know Giannis is likely to force his way out if they aren't competitive this season....and it's looking like they won't be. They are looking at a rebuild, so why not dump salary and collect picks? As for the Rockets, we already have a ton of young talent, picks are less valuable to us since we don't really have that many roster spots we can waste on even more rookies. The goal is to win now. You're right though, there is risk with a move like that....but it's just one of those deals that could realistically get done despite the difficulties of the hard cap without getting rid of anyone that the team needs. The Rockets can't realistically make a decent offer for Giannis, but they could realistically make a move for someone else on that team that has skills the team currently needs.
