I book a flight Monday night, and we finally get out of the Saturday noon slot. Goddamit - United better have strong wifi.
In a season where I never seem to know what to expect from the Texans from week to week, I fully have no idea what to expect in this game. I feel like we are objectively more skilled than the Steelers, but we'll see what happens. But overall, after the start to this season I'm just glad we are here and hope for the best.
The Texans have never... - been a Wild Card team - played their first-round playoff game on a day other than Saturday Both of those streaks are now over. Digging deeper, the Texans have never... - won a road playoff game - hosted a second round playoff game - been to the AFC championship game. I think the Texans are about to put an end to those streaks, as well.
I said it in the other thread, but it's more appropriate to be said here. I think there's some chance that the good version of CJ makes an appearance. If that happens, we win by 20+. The Steeler's offense is even worse than ours and their defense is flat out pathetic when it comes to their secondary. Now, if the good version of CJ doesn't show up, then we might be in trouble. We can't rely on the run game to get much of anything and Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers.
LFG!!! I feel like the defense will get back on track I’ve felt they’ve eased up these past few games
- Texans have never not been the first Saturday game. - 7pm is the latest kickoff in franchise history Welcome to PrimeTime
I agree. Aaron ain’t gonna let himself get sacked Just like when Myles was in the hunt for the sack record. Expect a ton of screens, quick routes and and check downs. Man is gonna dink and dunk until he can throw a bomb. That Steeler D is the scariest part of this matchup. They gonna feast on our interior like all those above avg Dlines have on us all season. Think Vita Vea, Leonard Williams and Chris Jones.
I think it’ll be a good matchup. Sting and Lassiter will be amped up to show out and I think Rodgers will be hesitant to test them which will result in underneath checkdowns near the LBS. Plus he’s not mobile AT ALL. Their O line is tough but I think throughout the game we’ll wear them down. I’m 100% confident in our defense. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about our offense. The good thing is the Steelers secondary is bottom 4 in the league so if we can get CJ some time, we can move the ball. I think we win by like 10-14. The mysterious Mixon conundrum really sucks right about now.
Steelers last Monday night loss at home 1991 vs Giants. Last Monday night loss at home vs an AFC team 1986 (Broncos). Who gives AF! Belt to ass time!!! Texans 27 Steelers 13
Hopefully Noel or Higgins can get open like Flowers did last night. Having Tank Dell would have been such a luxury in this matchup.
