Super Bowl. I feel different about this team. We are truly elite at one thing, defense. We played the toughest schedule, it's not smoke and mirrors due to the weak division like years past. We have playoff experience. No Mahomes or Lamar. We got this
The playoff schedule is BULL****. We play next Monday and, if we win, we have to play with only FIVE days rest as the game at Denver is on a Saturday.
First of all, if either the Bills or the Chargers win their game, they will be playing Denver instead of the winner of our game. Second, Divisional Round games have not even been announced yet. I'd even be willing to say there is ZERO chance they make us play on Saturday after playing Monday. The whole reason why we're getting the Monday slot is because it would be unfair to Pitt to have to play tonight, then have a faster recovery than everyone else.
The initial weather forecast for the game is just above freezing after a morning clearing forecast. I'm immediately suspicious of selective field preparation to maximize potential home field advantage. But I think the NFL watches all the playoff preparations carefully.
this is the match up I wanted and prime time to boot, it's time for the offense to come alive, can I believe that Nick Haley has just been holding back screens and plays we need just for this scenario.........is he is going to shock the world or are we this anemic on offense
I don’t think the matchup with the Steelers is awful, but there are some definitive concerns. Clearly, the Steelers defensive line can create problems so the offense is going to have to get the ball out quick, manage short yardage well, and keep the chains moving. Defensively, the Steelers offense isn’t great but they do some things that seem to give the Texans defense trouble at times. Rodgers gets the ball out fast, which can negate our pass rush. Gainwell is an annoying back in the pass catching game. They have a few good tight ends. Metcalf is obviously explosive.
ESPN is wrong on their bracket picture. That is only how it will work if the games are won according to their initial seeds. After the wild card round the brackets are re-seeded. If both the Chargers and Bills win. The Chargers will play at Denver and we will host the Bills (if we win). If just the Chargers win, Denver will host the Chargers and we will play at Jaguars. If just the Bills win, Denver will host the Bills and we will play at New England. In summation, if we want a home game in the next round we need to pull for the Bills and the Chargers.
They remind me so much of the '15+ Astros - just a bunch of really good dudes, fun to watch, playing their asses off. Will Anderson is already on the short list of my favorite Houston athletes ever I started to warm to the idea they could run the table in November, and now, I think this postseason is set-up very nicely for them. These next several weeks, I think, are going to be really fun.
I agree and what scares me is we beat Josh the past 2 times and made him look mortal, 3 times is a lot to ask though
