If they want to continue to play, they need to sweep and then cross your fingers................if we flame out tonight, I won't be shocked, were so Jekyll and Hyde
Houston needs to have an underhand deal with the Angels this series... Astros "Look, we want to be in the playoffs and you want a better draft pick. If all goes well we may trade you Walker and eat some of his cash."
I'm concerned that it's no longer summer...therefore, the Summer of George is over. Hopefully it'll be the Autumn of George.
Saying it now... it the Astros win the first 2 games and either Clev or Detroit loses their first two games... and all we need is a win on the last day of the season to get in.... I'm going to that game. The Astros have won 7 of the last 8 games I've went to including 2 WS games.
If Texas sweeps then we can go 2-1. All Texas has to do is win two or Detroit to lose two, or Boston to get swept.... and us to sweep for us to get in. Whoever wins today between Boston and Detroit, root for that team to sweep.
From today's Chronicle If Astros go 3-0 ... • If Houston sweeps the Angels in Anaheim, then ... • Boston must go 0-3. Red Sox are at home against Detroit.| Or ... • Detroit must go 1-2. Tigers are at Boston. Or ... • Cleveland must go 1-2. Guardians are home against Texas. If Astros go 2-1 ... • If Houston wins two of three at the Angels, then ... • Boston clinches. • Detroit must go 0-3. Tigers are at Boston. Or ... • Cleveland must go 0-3. Guardians are home against Texas. If Astros go 1-2 ... • If Houston loses two of three, see you next year.
If we win the first two games then we are still in it on the last day no matter what. Because if Detroit and Boston goes 1-1 then Detroit can still lose 1 more. If Detroit or Boston go up 2-0 in the series then we are either in the drivers seat or need Boston to lose on the last day. Bottom line, just win and everything else will sort itself out.
