Ugh typical American imperialist mindset. **** off! Hope European teams stay the hell away from this. They will corrupt the European game with bad refereeing, worse rules and giving into to whining and fishing for fouls.

Hilariously, I mentioned to the City fans at my work (I live and was raised in Manchester) that they're going to be in a European NBA and the response was genuinely "do they even play basketball in the UK? I hope this doesn't go against the proper team's finances" lol. Zero interest in attending.

I dont like this idea. In Europe we love honest competition, club loyalty, team play, hustle, rivalry. NBA is a star driven entertainment business. I enjoy both of them but as separate things

Yeah I don’t see any positives in this outside of maybe more NBA teams visiting Europe and prices for games going down, since hell no I’m not visiting the US under Trump with the way tourists have been treated at the border and my pro-Palestine activism surely will be an issue and these Europe games are insanely expensive. A cheap seat starts at 350-400 dollars!

If it helps the UK bball youth, the Olympics and their Committee have developed a lot of interests in sport categories that were not so popular.......

I'm all for it if they're putting investment into developing the youth basketball too. No complaints at all. If there actually does end up being a somewhat watchable product in my home city and it's not insane expensive that'd be awesome, I'm just dubious because I see how little the people around me care about basketball (the only reason I'm not seen as strange as a huge basketball fan and not a soccer fan is American family lol.)
