Acknowledge your weakness and reach back out to your old mentor to pick his brain about nothing but offense.

I love how all the blame is on Ime when the TEAM CAN’T FCKING SHOOT…and they have no PG or #1 option

Amen and Sengun are total non-shooters…FVV is basically Westbrook atp, and Jalen’s shooting is so random u have no idea what he’ll do from game to game…

Wth has Pop’s Spurs done since Kawhi left?

even MDA needed a real PG and shooters/floor spacing

Ime may need to look at starting Jabari, but even he was a below average shooter in the regular season

The rockets overachieved this year. They don't have a superstar talent. The best shooter (Brooks) was clowned for poor scoring before coming here.

The only reason they are where they are is by ratcheting up defensive schemes and intensity.

There's no secret sauce to coaching offense when you don't have scoring talent.

And no, pulling guys who are better shooters off the end of the bench and playing them doesn't help when it will cause the defense to fall off a cliff.

And no, trading for some sharpshooting role player would not have helped because we struggle to generate offense when things get difficult. We need a primary scorer.

I’m definitely not saying it’s all on Ime, but he has to own his share. He the one that chose FVV as his point guard so that is on him.

The Spurs haven’t done much as a team but recently but i’m specifically talking about Pop’s offensive system which could generate much more than what we are generating out there.

I want Ime here for the long haul but he needs improvements just like the players.

Ime needs to get his ego in check!

I appreciate his hard nosed and tenacious attitude - but ya also gotta use that grey matter!

I always hated MDA's condescending bs... "We dont adjust to them -they adjust to us" "Anybody that thinks we need to expand our rotation doesnt know what they are talking about..." "Defense? you'll have to talk to Jeff about that..."

and Ime is more of the same... just with slighty different proclivities....

All we gotta do is win game 4, n we're in total control of the series.

I’m assuming you’re talking about those 12-13 and 13-14 Spurs that played beautiful offense because outside of that, Pop’s offense was hideous and the Spurs were known for playing ugly games that fans didn’t like to watch…they were basically us right now, but with a 1st option/MVP caliber player in Tim Duncan along with Tony and Manu which we don’t have

the Spurs those 2 seasons were full of high IQ vets and in 12-13 were the 4th best 3 point shooting team/3rd best free throw shooting team and in 13-14 were the best 3 point shooting team/4th best free throw shooting team

the Rockets this season were the 21st best 3 point shooting team and dead last in free throw percentage a full percentage point behind 29th place

u can blame Ime for choosing FVV, but a majority of this board was in favor and wanted no parts of someone like James Harden

Ime needs improvement for sure, but our offensive woes are more of a personnel issue by far, yet all the talk is focused on Ime

u can be MDA, Spoelstra, Pop, etc…if u have terrible PG, nothing close to a star or #1 option, and u are 1 of the worst shooting teams in the league, there’s not an offensive mind in the world that can overcome that…they went 11-21 from the free throw line in game 1, and 14-24 last night…we are a legitimately horrific shooting team

Not a bad idea - Pop would adapt his playing style based upon whom he had on the roster, he would allow creative freedom to players like Manu even though he was risky and turnover prone, because Pop realized he was a net positive.

Kerr does too, he is playing guys that stink on D in Curry, Hield and Post - yet their defense is great.

Ime, doesn't do that, he only plays defensive players, shortens his rotations, doubles down on the 8 guys he likes, and ignores players that might help.

While one guy ressurect Kuminga, the other ignores our biggest weakness is a penetrating guard and he has Holiday right there.....

Ime is stubborn, and in the playoffs you have to adjust so far, haven't seen it at all.

Kerr is coaching circles around him.

I don’t disagree with what you are saying for the most part in terms of personnel. I wanted Fox at the trade deadline and he would have made a world of difference for this team in this series.

In terms of Pop, I don’t remember his offense ever being as incompetent and stagnant as the one we been rolling out all year but I could be wrong. But I do know that Pop is an all time great coach that Ime has a former relationship with and could be a great resource for him to help in this area.

Again, i’m not saying Ime is a bad coach overall or that you can win championships without great players. But this team has enough talent with proper coaching and adjustments to show much more on offense and beat the Warriors.

You can stop right there. That's my whole point.

They have a guy that can't be stopped, even when an elite defense makes him the focus of the game plan.

Nothing else matters unless you have one of these guys.

Our best players brick wide open shots.

Jesus stop it. He’s 37 years old without klay and has a geriatric draymond. We got owned by people like post

Funny how prime LeBron can’t win without help but we’re making all these excuses. That was top 3 in the most winnable rockets games I’ve ever seen
