This weekend The Astros will be celebrating Jackie Robinson day. A man who was never phased by the hatred thrown his way and continued to play the game he loved turning the other cheek like Jesus and Altuve. That's beisbol. And what makes it more special, Young Brother Brown will pitch on Jackie Robinson day. A full circle moment. So please score a run or two for young Brother Brown. Also, the Mayor of Houston will be throwing the first pitch.
So what you are saying is I shouldn't waste my time watching tonight, and instead sit out on my back patio, have a cocktail, have a fire, and binge listen to RUSH albums. Thank you for the guidance. It shall be done. First day above 60 degrees up here this year without gusty winds. Tito's OG Cush and I will start with 2112
If this team is going to make waves, it needs to start sometime. W-L-W 1) Astros need to show that they really still hit LHP 2) Tough mstchup. Gonna need some bounces to go the right way 3) Framber usually is super focused after a poor game and has a very good one.
2112 was my introduction to Rush, kind of over-whelming at the time. Shortly thereafter I was introduced to Triumph (another "hey hoser") who I cozied up to more. They say there's no middle ground with rush but I'm in the middle with them.
You’re the perfect age to be a Rush fan. The guys in the band are actually older than you. Did you never branch out beyond what your parents listened to?
Yes, But I liked the Monkeys better than the Beatles too. And my favorite vocalist is Karen Carpenter. But I do have a bias toward Van Cliburn since my mother played in some of the same recitals as him as a child.
