I just don’t understand how dumb these athletes can be. I used to work for an elected official, I didn’t make much money, but the risk of media attention and losing my job simply for being a staffer of a semi-major politician was enough to make me think about ANY and EVERYTHING I did and how it could come back to hurt me. These guys make millions and aren’t concerned with protecting it? I was hopeful KPJ had matured. If this story is true, it looks like his career is over.
I'm really sad to hear this. I had hoped he had found his way. I don't imagine they can cut him until there is either clear evidence or a conviction, but they'll have to cut him. Keeping him at this point would be completely unacceptable. And that saddens me deeply. I was really rooting for this kid. He's had so much to overcome - but this just isn't acceptable behavior and there have to be consequences. p.s. My heart also goes out to his girlfriend, who didn't deserve this.
I don't think this is anything to gloat over. Its sad if anything. Was hoping he would get his life together.
Welp, really sucks if true this article makes it seem pretty clear cut though. Hate to say i'm not surprised if it is true, he seems like a troubled young man that needs to get his **** together.
Now it becomes a decision for the team - can they CANCEL his contract for breaking ethics? I hope so, we have to move on, we just wasted 3 years on him, and he tosses it away, the only redeeming thing asset wise is it happened before the season.....but make no mistake the Rockets just got a lot weaker. There is no gloating in a sad situation like this, everyone knew this was a possibility with his history, what most of us hoped was that he would get it together because he has a very unique skillset - it just didn't happen and now the team moves on....and he probably has to go overseas..... He will get his day in court and his side out there, maybe this is nothing, but that is unlikely, TBH. DD
