Yes, for the consideration of payroll flexibility to add more talent during their WS window. Try to keep up.

Nice! Cash Considerations cousin, Luxury Tax Savings, has been doing great for our basketball team for years.

Just hoping we don't get Jeff Wilpon to help with the development of Considerations, or it might go bust.

We essentially getting JV for $17 million a year for 2 1/3 yrs.

    Just unreal.

So what JV are we getting?

    Last 9 starts

    1.95 ERA
    1.01 WHIP

    That JV.

It’s kind of funny/wild to see cash considerations go from like 10k, 50k, etc….to, what, 90 MILLION, by one team at one deadline? Just insane.

Steve Cohen is trying to “sports wash” his lengthy financial crimes/fraud history. Really not a fan of it, him, nor what he’s doing. I think the league will have to deal with it before long — buying out the market and ignoring the tax is one thing, but using it as a mechanism to buy top prospects could be the needle that calls for some type of meaningful reform.

Doubt it. Much kaveching is washed away when you pay $200+ million in tax alone to the other owners.

I believe the cash consideration helps bigtime for our cap room 2024 n 2025? Means we can have JV plus some flexibility for our own contracts to extend and possible FA too?

Anogher big huge boost is the team moral. Whew wee!

The world is getting crazy. The next mega millionaire winning draw could buy any of 6 major league teams at value.
