This is why nobody gives no trade clauses anymore.

I doubt a team will ever give another player a no-trade clause after this. Ridiculous return.

Does Chris Paul go to the Wizards in this one?

Also, don't Booker and Beal play the same position?

Cp3 will probably get waived and he’ll sign somewhere else

He can be cut to reduce his cap hit to something around 16M. I expect them to do that and he probably signs with the Lakers or something.

Awful deal. They're ****ed for cap space and they got an awful defender who can't really run the point that well.

Also, Beal has not played over 60 games in the last 4 seasons.

I have read that it may take a few days for the deal to be finalised. Paul may be redirected to another team with capspace? Any thoughts who that might be?

They have to. Their window is tied to Durant now so it was either trade Durant and build a new core around Booker which...maybe they could have explored that but not sure what they could have gotten. Durant has obviously seen his best years and his injuries have been getting a lot more common...

    or...

Go all in now. I think it makes sense. Their window was closed, Durant and Booker was not going to be enough to win in the West, CP3 is old and Ayton is just a really good role player (at times) so they needed a bit more.

Not sure about their depth though but their window was closed any ways so they had to take a risk.
