Assists or was he just scared to shoot?

I'm impressed by the vision. Some risky passes here and there, but he definitely sees the floor better than anyone else on the team at the moment. Gives me some LaMelo vibes

If Wemby and Scoot weren't in this draft Amen would be the consensus #1 overall pick.

Damn I read "longly awaited, highl.." on the front page and was disappointed to find this wasn't a new practice facility thread

Watched most of that video. He's a willing passer, but I'm just not seeing those passing lanes being open at the NBA level for him. Since he has no shot his entire game is based off of fast breaks or penetration. He has a nice first step but against a NBA defense that is sagging off him then he won't have those driving lanes to create. His handles don't seem to be anything special for a NBA PG either.

I scrolled through most of this game with him against older more seasoned players and he was pretty underwhelming. Maybe it was a bad game for him.

The biggest issue I saw is his defense is just fundamentally bad. He has quick hands but he gets burned a lot because he reaches and his hips aren't in good position. He has a tendency to leave his man and gamble for a steal too. During the game they kind of seemed to be hiding him on defense too. He was never on ball for defense. Also, there is ZERO percent chance he can guard NBA forwards. He gets bodied too easily.

He also added nothing to the offense if he doesn't have the ball in his hands because he can't shoot. When he did have the ball he didn't seem to create much this game.

Vision does look good enough for a NBA PG.

Bad defender, non-shooter are huge flaws for a near 21 year old who couldn't dominate a high school league.

I've made peace with it. I don't really want Miller that much, but whatever, still a good prospect. Even if we trade back with Orlando and pick up some pair like Ausar + Cason Wallace that's okay. Whatever draft outcome the front office thinks is the highest value.

Just so long as they don't trade away the pick for some second-tier star on an expiring contract like Siakam or some roleplayer like Myles Turner. Then I would be pissed.

is that a bad thing? Miller would slot in nicely at the 3.

    he’d bring shooting and size

I'd prefer them to trade up for Scoot or trade down to another team buying into the Amen hype train.

I’m assuming you’d be targeting Cam or Walker in a trade down? If no team did a trade with the Rockets, would u take either straight up over Amen at #4?

Ending up with Miller or Henderson with the fourth pick would be a huge win for the Rockets.

But I'm 99.9999999% sure it's not going to happen.

If we stay at 4 I’m ok with whoever falls from Amen, Scoot or Miller. Even if Amen is a bust you have to take a swing.

I kinda hope we trade 4 & 20 down with the Magic for 6 & 11 to grab Hendricks & Dick

our 3/4 depth would be good for years
