I'm willing to overpay. He's the ultimate on the court coach and paired with Ime setting the structure, I'd feel a lot more confident in the young guys making drastic improvements. He's going to be a lot cheaper than Harden and won't demand a long contract that gets us locked in to a bad contract situation down the road.
Unfortunately, that is probably true. But the Rockets team and coach and assistant coaches he left isn't the team he would be coming back to.
Really? You think Boban on the bench has the same amount of impact on young players as CP3 on the bench? Remember he's also going to be involved in training and practice.
So y'all fine with Paul but not harden? So durability isn't a problem? I know harden doesn't show up in big games in playoffs but he does have a lot good games in the playoffs, but I mean Chris Paul is always literally missing in the playoffs, he hit the cliff soon as turned 37 lol , I do think if no harden and if Paul comes that's amazing but I think he's gonna go clippers Lakers or celtics, I can imagine getting Paul and scoot dropping and let scoot learn from the point god but yeah getting harden is overpay but what if he get Paul he only plays 25 games and if our first pick goes to okc?
We would have had a better chance at trading for him. I don't think he comes here as a free agent with his choice of destinations unless we offer him some ridiculous, insane contract.
Dude literally said he wants to sign with a championship contender. No one at the end of their career is coming to play with our historical trash players.
I'm quite frankly shocked people aren't willing to give him even the minimum. That's absurd. You are getting one of the best.floor generals in NBA history who still can get you 20-30 minutes and be essentially a trainer/coach during practice and training sessions.
