Whoever we trade for, better be a good 3pt shooter and floor spacer.

Young players are no good at it, that’s why there are no young teams in the top 5 (in fact they're extremely old teams). Just takes time.

Not worried about it. The two marks of a winning culture are team defense and high assist rate. Those two are bigger priorities and I bet if we were moving the ball better we’d be shooting a lot better too.

Drafting 7 players in two summers brings temporary compounding problems. They can learn to shoot with some practice, but defense and sharing are things you need vets (and coaching!) to achieve.

We're actually likely to get a little worse when we dump Gordon...

I hope Jabari and Green can live up to the expectations there eventually.

If they could shoot >42% on threes, with Alpi getting them open looks constantly...look out.

    Rebounding
When the right mix is on the court together our rebounding is truly amazing.

We need to clean up our fundamentals and good things would start happening.

I am having a rough morning with my phone.

Name 2 specific things you would focus on.
Mine would be defensive rotations and using picks and screens properly.

we crash the boards for offensive rebounds, but what comes with it is most points allowed off the fastbreak (2 points more than second-worst and 7 more than best). And getting killed of fastbreaks are basketballs 101 to losing.

also, we are bottom in scoring off the turnovers ourselves - so we are the youngest team that gets outrun the most... this is really pathetic coaching

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts something something Alpi is a 30/10 player.

Surprisingly we’re not in bottom 5 defensively last 10 games, but we are 2nd worst offensively.

Stop creating them for guys like Jalen and Jabari and that number will drastically improve.

I recognized something a few weeks ago.....sure to get furious push back
by SOF'ers ( I have most on ignore); but I believe there is some politics and strife
    going on between some.

Sengun may have learned something from Christian Wood.

Wood shot from 3 in 21/22:
    First 8 games: 38% (3P%).......5.9 (3PA)
    Next 9 games: 20.6% (3P%)....3.8 (3PA) [ got Theis removed as starter ]
    Last 51 games: 41.6% (3P%)...5.0 (3PA)
    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/woodch01/gamelog/2022/

Sengun shot from 3 in 22/23:
    Last 8 games w/o KPj: 71.4% (3P%).....0.9 (3PA)
    Before...........................20.0% (3P%).....0.7 (3PA)
[ is someone intending to allow the paint to be packed for Green/KPj/EG/JC
most of the season and now trying to bring himself to the top of the totem
pole while KPj is out? Force himself as the hub of the offense? ]

    ----------------------

    5-man Lineups

Jabari: 4 lineups that shoots a plus 3P%.......only one is with Sengun
    1) Bruno / EG / Green / KPj / Jabari.............51 mins.....+ .149
    2) Bruno / Green / Kenyon / KPj / Jabari......36 mins.....+ .040
    3) Green / Mathews / KPj / Sengun / Jabari..42 mins...+ .040
    4) Garuba / Green / Kenyon / KPj / Jabari......42 mins...+ .036

    6) EG/Green/KPj/
    Sengun/Jabari........426 mins.....-- .027 (most minutes)
    10) Green/Kenyon/KPj/
    Sengun/Jabari...123 mins...-- .114 (2nd most minutes)
    -----------
    KPj
: 6 lineups that shot a plus 3P%......two with Sengun
    1) 51 mins....+ .149
    2) 45 mins...+ .106 [ with
    Sengun ]
    3) 88 mins...+ .049
    4) 42 mins...+ .040
    [ with Sengun ]
    5) 36 mins...+ .040
    6) 42 mins...+ .036

    8) 426 mins...-- .027 (most minutes.....of course with Sengun as he starts)
    10) 123 mins..-- .114 (with Sengun)
    -----------
Green: 5 lineups that shot a + 3P%....one with Sengun
    1) 51 mins......+ .149
    2) 45 mins......+ .106 [ with
    Sengun ]
    3) 88 mins......+ .049
    4) 62 mins......+ .049
    5) 42 mins......+ .036

    7) 426 mins.....-- .027 (most minutes....with Sengun)
    10) 123 mins...-- .114 (with Sengun)
    --------------

Sengun: 4 lineups that shot a plus 3P% [ Notice the top two (minutes) ]
    1) Eason / EG / Kenyon / Nix / Sengun............23 mins......+ .196
    2) Eason / EG / Kenyon / Mathews / Sengun...21 mins.....+ .149
    3) Eason / Green / Kenyon / KPj / Sengun........45 mins.....+ .106
    4) Jabari / Green / Mathews / KPj / Sengun.....42 mins.....+ .040

    5) 426 mins.........-- .027

    10) 123 mins.......-- .114

I wouldn't be surprised if Green/KPj noticed how Sengun lack of 3-pt shooting has hurt
their ability to drive vs a packed paint......thus stopped hitting 3's to give Sengun a packed
paint as well. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. I would have done the
    same.

I knew Sengun could do better from 3.......could easily perform the same way recently
when KPj comes back. But is that in Sengun's best interest?

This is the reason KPJ doesn’t lead the league in assists.
