i think its official, the thunder made a mistake. dribble pull up 3, step back 3, catch and shoot, great defense. how can you pass on that? the only bad thing of last night is that its going to be hard to get scoot or wemby now. Christopher looks like that dribble 3 pull up and catch and shoot 3 is better. i want to tank, but i don't think we'll have a shot to do so now. Not unless they just trade gordon, tate, and kpj immediately, that seems to be the only way.

I would've been fine with any of the consensus top 4 picks except Chet, but I was really reaaaallly hoping for Smith. I was jumping around the house when he fell to us. Still haven't gotten off that high in a lot of ways. Even though I didn't think anyone in this draft was projected to be a super star I did think Smith would be a guy who plays a massive role on a championship team. Worthy of the #1 pick in this particular draft. Last night was a preview of what some, including myself, believe his expected floor to be. Love it

One preseason game against the projected worst team in the league, but those 3 balls remind me of Kevin Durant with that high release point.

I thought Tari stole the show but it’s all a matter of perspective!

Most of us knew he was good. He exceeded my first preseason expectations but obviously won't complain. Only a select few idiots like Bobby didn't see it

Great write-up! Wow what a debut for JabaTari - get that customized jersey ready baby - and seeing all guys get minutes, including TyTy and Boban was just perfect.

Nothing more needed to be said, Jabari silenced the nay-sayers and doubters real quick. I cannot even say who he reminds me of, but that jumper combined w/ that defense is just limitless potential.

I know I wanted Jabari & Tari this year and after Green proving me wrong last year - wanted Mobley - it feels great to get them and them showing why we should be excited.

All credit to @Clutch for not wavering on Jabari along w/ some other guys on Twitterland who convinced me he was the one! After what looked like a clear #1 and convincing myself Banchero was good too, getting him was just unbelievable.

Now we got the man who will carry us to the promised land alongside Green :) Guess I gotta make that trip to Houston at some point, because this feels special. They will make noise in a few years and give us a true homegrown (drafted) superstar duo leading us to a title.

    Rock on!!

Nothing on Alperen Sengun, your new defacto PG?

The entire offense now runs through him. Might be worth a mention! Helped Jabari shine on multiple occasions, on both ends, yesterday.

its nice to see...the only issue i see with that is that against a great defense, our poing guard may not be able to get him the ball where he likes it. he still needs to work on that 3 ball if he wants to be a star in this league.

We must remember that Jabari is only 19. Three more years of playing NBA games will will only enhance his understanding of the nuances of the game -- what he can and can't do. Then, Jabari will be at the ripe age of.....22. The floor is here, the ceiling is crazy high.

I think that is why we are running a healthy dose of pick and roll, to get Sengun on the move while elite off-ball shooters (JG/EG/Jabari) do their thing off the ball. Shades of Adelman’s Princeton. If they want to take away Sengun, they can go for it. They are going to leave open driving lanes for the guards.

Been a Smith fan from the first time I saw him play in college. Had the same feeling about Hakeem and Elvin Hayes when I saw them play their first college games. I know, that is almost heresy comparing him to two of the all time greats. But, I think there are similarities. Injuries can change the course of a career like in the case of Ralph Sampson. I pray that Smith stays healthy because his ceiling is extremely high. I am personally convinced that the Rockets got the best player in the draft.
