To you guys, which playoff series in NBA history had the best display or execution of coaching?

    Thoughts?

The 2016 NBA Finals between the Cavs and the Warriors.

Ty Lue can be unorganized at times and seems really disinterested in the regular season, but he has an incredible ability to make adjustments and he absolutely took Kerr and the Warriors to the wood shed in 2016. He progressively made adjustments as that series went on, and actually was anticipating what the Warriors adjustments were going to be and already had his own counters set up. These were not things that he had set up before the series, but what he noticed during games. His performance in that series was special.

2011 NBA Finals between the Heat and the Mavericks

Eric Spolstra is arguably the best playoff coach in the NBA at this point. His teams are well prepared, he is seldom out coached and he counters adjustments well. However, that was not the case in 2011. He was badly out adjusted by another great playoff coach in Rick Carlisle. Pat Riley would sit down after the games and work out and help Spolstra, but not so much during games and he looked over matched. Spolstra learned, but not quick enough for that series.
