Simple observation. We either need to make it work between a Wood/Sengun front court or move Wood over the next 9 months to set him up as the starting "big".

Mathews says otherwise but could live with that.

If only he had enough stamina and he were strong enough.
The kid's only nineteen, has a lot of room to build strength yet.
Can't you see how he bends at all joints like a doll on contact?
This season I'll be happy if he plays 20 min/gm and stays healthy.

The Rockets need to build around Sungun and let the offense run through him, IMHO

Get/develop players who compliment him, and trade/cut players who don't... whoever that may be.

I think we had an amazing draft and I can see big contributions from all of our 1st rounders, but Alperen looks like he's going to be a very special player... I can only imagine how this team might look with one of the top guys in the next draft added to the mix.

I get that conditioning may be an issue, so obviously that has to be factored in, too

It's almost unbelievable how good he is already. There isn't a single player in the NBA providing his level of production while being glued to the bench the majority of every game.

Wood is fantastic, but Sengun is going to be better.

He needs to be let to foul out so he can learn how to compete and NOT foul so much.

I'm ready for the Alperen Sengun era. Trade Wood and Theis for picks and Garuba can be our backup big as we tank our way to the next lotto.

Is it true that he sat the last ten minutes of the game? That's stupid if true.

I do think its at least 70% a conditioning issue at the moment. He does look gassed when he comes out.

Fouling is a big problem. Stamina an issue too.

Rockets can't just roll with Sengun 35 a night yet. Makes me wonder if the Rockets can trade both Wood and Theis by the deadline. Probably have to keep one the rest of the year. They need bigs until Sengun is ready to take over.

Sengun looked gassed when he bricked those two FTs. It was a good time to sub him out. That said, he should have come back in down the stretch.

Exactly. He was gassed, he has to work on that. But he absolutely should have been back in at the 4 min mark

If we're trading Wood, it's most likely for future assets, not to upgrade now. Which means we would be full on tanking, in which case, we don't need help at any position.

This foul problem is because he knows he will play for a maximum of 15 minutes no matter what he does. A player who does not have a foul problem in a place like Europe where hard basketball is played is unlikely to have a foul problem in the NBA.

If you have a 19-year-old center that isn't afraid to take on Giannis, you HAVE TO play him. Not who was afraid to take on even Portis.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't notice Sengun's stamina issues. If he only plays 15 minutes per game, how can anyone know he has issues with his stamina? He is still producing on the court every time he's subbed out.

Also, he was an MVP last season. I doubt his gas tank caps his productivity at 20 minutes per game. He can go 30+ every night in my opinion.

Alperen had become MVP in every league he played so far. NBA is the next.

Wood is a great secondary player of he is playing with a good facilitator. This team cannot maximize his potential but maybe we can maximize our return for him

he can start and split 24mpg with thies the rest of the year. Play him in shorter spurts to avoid running out of gas. first 6 and last 6 of each half.
