I've seen enuff. He is the white Hakeem Olajuwon. We got the best player in the draft. Stop talking about "should have picked mobley #2".

I'd rather have sengun. And mobley is a giraffe chris bosh soft small forward. No thanks. Our small forward is the great Garry Bird. I'd rather have Garrison honestly.

Get back to me when Mobley hits threes at the same clip as Garry Bird.

Case closed. If u like mobley so damn much go be a cavs fan we don't want u.

Maybe on offense, sure. Mobley is a complete game changer on defense.

I can understand your assessment but as it stands now, they are all just kids right now. I love Sengun and I'm really, really glad we have him but I think it's going to take at least 3-4 yrs to see who got the better/best player. But I like our chances with Green and Sengun.

    JC might surprise them all!

Question then become, who can improve their deficiency the fastest? Sengun takes charges and blocks shots, also I think it's a strong possibility he can grow another inch or two, as he's 19yrs old, which will make his defense better. Finally, I think he will get stronger, which will make him faster and I think that's his where he really needs to show improvement.

Mobley to me seems to be a defensive specialist, however I don't know if he ever becomes the offensive savant Sengun is.

I'm guessing you mean defense and not deficiency?

I think even if Sengun reaches his 110% defensive potential sometime in his career he wouldn't even be where Mobley is now his rookie year. The way Sengun gets better than Mobley is by being the focal point of the a top offense in the NBA while being a + defender because Mobley will likely be the anchor of the best defense in the NBA at some point of his career while being an excellent offensive weapon -- probably not focal point. Sengun's defense is already better than pre-draft reports, so that's great. Sengun is one of the best rookies in this class and is a building block for the Rockets. I heard somewhere he leads the league in turnovers in the post, which is a result of him simply attempting passes most won't even dream. I'll take those turnovers early on in someone's career, but he'll need to clean that up. He'll also need to gain more stamina and foul less, again things that will go away with time. If he can do that for the second half of the season his numbers will stand out and propel him to top 5 rookie. This year's rookie class is tough to break top 5, so that's saying a lot.

Ultimately Sengun is here and I hope he ultimately ends up better than Mobley, but that's going to be tough with Mobley's defense.

Quick glance at Fivethirtyeight's RAPTOR ratings, Mobley is currently 6th in the league (+3.8) in defense RAPTOR among all players playing at least 600 minutes this year. That's damn damn good. The downside, according to the same RAPTOR metric, is that his offensive production is sitting at a -2.7 to give him a net +1.0 overall. I'm sure the offense will come in due time and he really can't help that Jarrett Allen has decided he wants to be on the All-Star team this year. If Mobley can just put up respectable offensive numbers and maintain that level of defense for the rest of his career, dude can have the same impact on the court as a Rudy Gobert.

On the flip side, Sengun has a +1.1 offensive RAPTOR rating to go with a +.5 defensive RAPTOR rating for a net +1.6 in about 400 minutes of playing time, 200 less than Mobley. I think his offensive productivity can definitely increase.

Why not both? Mobley and Sengun would have been the new twin towers.
