Meyers has a jump, but lots of playoffs left (hopefully).

Any pick for a hero? The guy who makes a game saving defensive play? Game winning HR?

Voted Meyers, but I think he and Chas are close enough at this point that Dusty Logic will likely yield similar results. Next season, I expect Meyers will pull away a little unless Chas finds a middle ground between swinging out of shoes, and making frequent contact w/o power.

Meyers has the edge already after his performance yesterday. That combined with his superior defense and speed over Chas make him an easy pick for me.

Siri is a wild card, though. He's shown he's got some speed and power as well in his short time in the majors. I wouldn't be shocked to see him have a big performance at some point, but he's less likely to get playing time.

I think jake got game 1 because Lynn throws all FB and Jake rakes FB.

McCormick has the most power of the 3 and may have a big HR coming

At this point Meyers and Chas are both really good 4th outfielders and Siri is a pinch hitter/runner. Meyers or Chas could establish himself in the post season given the opportunity but I do not think Dusty gives them the chance.

Baker will ruin them by not allowing them to get consistent reps and a good rhythm.

Over a full season of AB’s Chas was on pace for 26 homeruns and 94 rbi’s

    They've both earned playing time.

I would confidently say Meyers has a higher ceiling moving forward, but in the here and now it's a toss up.

The stupidest of good Astros platoons of all-time was Berry and Spiers at 3B in '98.

Yes, they were a somewhat-true LH/RH platoon, but Chas and Jake have something to strive for now

I think he prefers to keep them competing against one another.

They'll be running timed sprints through the airport concourse once they land.

Helluva start by both guys. I could not be any happier with how it has played out so far. They keep contributing like they are and it just makes this team that much stronger.

Until one of them has an OPS in the 800's or starts dropping balls, I don't mind the platoon. They have earned playing time and it's good for the team especially when Brantley and Alvarez are defensive liabilities. I could totally see one of them subbing in LF in late innings where we are leading.

Siri has been unbelievable as a hype man. Best I’ve seen since Hank Conger.

Jake Meyers has been the most effective so far. I hope he gets the start in game 3.

I dunno. Chas had 2 big, big, ABs yesterday.

    - Sac Fly in the 2nd
    - his 2-out walk in the 4th let Altuve lead off the next inning; Altuve walked and later scored on Yuli's 2-out 2-RBI single

Almost a coin toss. Chas had a really nice game, but Jake’s RBI single started the scoring for the Astros in game 1. I felt it was important to get an early lead.

I bet you Jake starts game 3. Mostly for defense, I'd think.
