    Trust more, Stone or Morey?

Morey positioned us to be the 2nd best team in the league behind the Warriors, while other teams retreated and got us to the Western Conference Championship twice.

Stone has made smart trades and brought in Rookie Free Agents that have stood out; KJM, Brooks and Tate.

    WHO DO YOU TRUST NOW?

Stone has done a great job... Kevin Porter Jr, Christian Wood, Kenyon Martin Jr....I trust Stone to make the right decision and Draft Jalen Green. This could be the quickest rebuild in NBA history. Solid young core to build around going forward.

Trust more? Morey isn’t making the picks. So I have to trust (or not trust) Stone.

“If Stone takes [my guy], then he is a genius, deserves a raise and I trust him more.”
“If Stone doesn’t take [my guy], then he is an idiot, should be fired and don’t trust him at all.”

    ;)

I don’t have a guy. But y’know, some prefer Mobley. Some prefer Green.

First off you’re trusting the wrong people. Have you ever heard of Dennis Lindsay?

Let's be honest here. Morey was charged with a seemingly impossible task by Les...Make us a contender without any hint of a rebuild. And he did it. We would have a title, but for Silver/CP3 injury...and, the GS Worriers..an all time great team/dynasty. The man isn't getting any credit. Look at all the interference he had to deal with late in his tenure here.
Daryl had a different set of circumstances/ short term objective.

Stone certainly has his own style and I do love it. A true poker player. His moves for the most part have been tremendous so far. I trust HIM completely.

So, here's the deal..I always wanted to see Les let Daryl handle a longerterm rebuild. I figure DM would hit it out of the park.

That said, I'd rather have Stone making the picks....

And, Daryl doing deals...where he REALLY excels.

If he picks Green then I trust him. If he picks Mobley I'll give him the benefit of the doubt considering he got Tate/KMJ/KPJ for essentially nothing + Wood for good value.

#2.........Jalen Green (Cade if Green #1)

    #23......Kai Jones/Garuba/JT Thor/Roko Prkacin/T Murphy III
[BPA of this group if still on the board]

    #24.....Charles Bassey/Tre Mann/Duarte/Scottie Lewis/Miles McBride/
    Hyland/Jared Butler
[Bassey rank #1; BPA of others if Bassey is gone]

    option
Obtain early second round pick to draft the Mann/Duarte/Lewis/McBride/Hyland
player as our good 3&D backup PG/SG combo. Move Augustin/Bradley soon
    after.

I'm a big Morey fan but I never trusted his drafting at all. He seemed to undervalue the draft and spent what picks he did have on tweener players, trying to "out-value-pick" everyone else instead of picking best player available. Later, as Harden became established, he spent draft picks like dogecoin for C-level players to round out the roster. He seemed to have zero patience for development unless a player was a certified superstar or a minimum role player.

Tbh it's hard to gauage Morey drafting ability. The man was never even given the chance to draft with a high lottery pick.

Morey, a genius in many ways but responsible for some of the worst draft decisions.

I would trade Wood and the late picks and more for Barnes at 5 or 6.

i think Barnes’ upside is high and I think he will learn to shoot. Rookie scale deal. Vs injury prone guy we’ll have to overpay in 2 yrs to keep
