I'm intrigued by the idea of Mobley and Christian Wood playing together, but say we wanted Mobley, another interesting thought that I hate to even bring up would be this: if we want Mobley, I wonder if it would make sense to see what we could get for Wood and one of our other two first round picks? If we could get a good young scorer, would it be worth it? And what would our team look like?

Say we could get a Bradley Beal, is that worth it?

    KPJ
    ???
    Tate
    Martin
    Mobley

Assuming Eric Gordon is gone in this scenario, too.

Interested in hearing your takes. We kind of know what we have in Christian Wood, and I assume we all like it. Would it be worth the Gamble to try to get more than what he is?

Not saying I support this, as I think the young trio of guards all have Superstar potential in a guard-driven league. I also have a hard time spending that high of a pick on a big in a guard driven league. Just curious to hear thoughts.

How about Christian Wood and Eric Gordon for Ben Simmons?

As much as Simmons **** the bed this post season, he was still a good facilitator and defender during the regular season. His free throw shooting will drive me nuts, but I think he can be a good fit around a shoot first guard like KPJ.

Though I think both fan bases will think they're getting ripped off in this trade.

The goal is to build a real core and compete for rings in 3 years.

We’re not getting Beal with Wood and pick #23. But if we could, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

WOOD and MOBLEY are two different type of players. We can have them both. It's not like one or the other is just big and slow. You can never have too much skilled big men.

Woods like to play face up.

Mobley can work the post, and hit the occasional three.

We have KPjr do we really need another dynamic guard?

Nah. The reason I like Mobley is he’s a great complement to Wood. Mobley will likely be a better rim protector, Wood will likely be better hitting threes, and both would be great at PnR.

Yeah no kidding. If the Wiz do that, then that team just needs to be sold off.

Houston Trades: EG, Christian Wood, #23 pick
Houston Receives: Kevin Love, #3 pick

this works cap wise, and Love becomes a large expiring next offseason...

    Pick Green and Mobley

I'd like to find a way to draft Scottie Barnes also.... BUT that's asking too much lol

Except Mobley doesn't have a post game and is a poor shooter.

We need an efficient guard. That's Green.

I would look at a gaurd first then try a center why bring back the twin towers its a reason the center position has become obsolete I would look a green suggs barnes and look for a good forward that can score and defend at the 3 if we pick Mobley my first question is why I mean you paid Christian wood all that money last year to have a rookie sit and wait why not get a guard like green or suggs to pair with KPJ first then work out to the center positon there are some good Center in the draft besides Mobley

    And?

Simmons was 19 a few years ago too. Being 19 doesnt mean that you will learn to shoot.

This, he is still crap on offense. He will need several years to develop a shot. Not what we need for a faster rebuild. Green is the better choice.

Your comparison with him and Simmons is ridiculous

Thank goodness Houston has a chance of drafting a 19-year-old with unbelievable ability

He's long and can jump. Defense is how you win. Ask Brooklyn.
