Anthony Davis - career playoff loser until he teamed up with LeBron

Zion Williamson - can’t get his team to the playoffs

DeAndre Ayton - Made the WCF but we all know it’s Booker’s team

Joel Embiid - Doesn’t have the stamina to finish games

Nikola Jokic - Lack of lateral quickness constantly got abused quick guards

I have never seen Mobley play, but the odds of a team led by a big winning a championship nowadays don’t look good. The game has now shifted heavily to space and pace and traditional big man is phasing out. Not to mention we already got C Wood.

Mobley isn't a traditional big. Problem with guys like Booker is it's hard to determine who is the Kobe from the Danny Greens. they all look at the same in college.

How many people knew Haliburton will be the 3rd best rookie in last year's draft? Almost everyone agreed Deni Avdija had higher upside than Haliburton prior to the draft.

You def need another perimeter talent to pair with Ayton/Embiid/Jokic etc. but you still need a super star big to win in the playoffs that hasn't really changed and those bigs are only available in the draft.

I agree with this. Mobley has the dreaded potential but it’s not worth the reach. We already have Wood and Olynyk is a solid backup. Take Green.

It’s not the 90s anymore. Even the bigs play like guards.

I forget, but was AD huge in the finals for a championship team?

You need a good big who can do a few of the following: score off the ball and from the perimeter; rebound at both ends; guards the ring, and who can pass.
Oh wow Mobley ticks all the boxes.

You need the right big though, no point going all in on a fat 6'7 guy who plays no defence, but can jump out of the gym.

Giannis is about to lead his team to the finals.
Ayton is expected to be there too.
    Davis won it last year.

Luka is expiring next year, and wants out of dallas because they aren't good enough. So he will go to the worst NBA team with the worst record that will give up their best players to get him? Trade would make zero sense.

There are only 4 superstar bigs in the league and of them only AD has a ring

You definitely don’t need one to win.

A “Capela” level big with superstar talent on the wings or at guard. Is a much better formula.

A defensive minded big can be drafted at 23-24 if necessary

You take the most impactful player. There no position on the Rockets that is off limits.

For the people wanting Green because Mobley is a project… I am confused

Gotta say that Mobley would be aces as a lob target. Harden would have loved the guy. Have my doubts, though. He’s a half dollar short of being a stick.

The probability of being a bust is way too high, I would go with the safer pick. Too many bigs who are top picks end up being a bust, and Mobley lacks the drive already,
