Daryl Morey says Joel Embiid is most unstoppable thing he's ever seen

“I get in trouble when I say stuff like this,” Morey says, “but he’s the most unstoppable thing I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot. You know who I’ve seen,” he says, alluding to Harden. “But I’ve never seen anything like it. Like last night against Rudy Gobert, he faced him up at eight feet, and I mean it ended in a dunk. And (Gobert) is an amazing defender. And he had no answer.”

What is going to say? He likes the sound of his voice. I think that is part of his appeal.

Embiid has often had a foul rate just as high if not higher than Harden. I've watched games where they ought to just sit the other 9 players on the bench and let Embiid shoot free throws, which is probably the same way other fans feel about Harden. Morey lucked out immediately getting another top 3 foul rate guy (along with Giannis).

Well he has had 5 games of at least 40 points this year. That’s impressive so let’s not discount that. Talk to me when he averages 40 points over a 40 game stretch though. That is a different level of dominance. I watched this video earlier of the game Daryl was referring to and it’s impressive what he can do at his size, but come on, saying this is the most unstoppable thing you’ve ever seen is hyperbole. Daryl hyping his guy up as he should. Embiid and Jokic are MVP front runners right now and Harden is closing in. Imagine if he could’ve paired Embiid with Harden.

As GM, you serve as the hype man for your team's stars. Dorrell is just doing his job.

The fact that we still have such attachments to people who aren’t here, shows how important they were to our franchise. Still talk about Harden, still talk about Morey, still talk about Dantoni(those threads were mine though LOL). This is really gonna take awhile for all of us to get over.

I still blame Morey for surrounding Harden with weak talent all during Harden's tenure. Remember that the 3rd best scorer to play alongside Harden in the team was Ariza for many years and at 30 years old before Gordon/Lou Williams. Don't want to hear any more nonsense from Morey ever about any other player.

He's OK. His game reminds me of a slightly better prime Aldridge. None of the Top 10 All-Time centers are sweating.

I thought Morey was going to say Harden heading to the strip club is the most unstoppable thing he has ever seen.

Biggest mistake was bringing in other point guards when he had the best point guard in the league infront of him. We needed to bring in stretch PF and shooters to fully maximise his game. It’s to late now.

Really excited to see Phila lose in the playoffs at Harden’s hands.
