    CP3
    Harden/Gordon
    Covington/House
    Tucker
    Capela

If the Rockets had done nothing but trade two firsts for Covington as they did last year, would they be better than the Jazz right now?

Yes. It turns out draft picks can be traded for more than just expiring contracts

that is a contender for sure...it will be years before we get back to being even just a consistent 50 win playoff team...we will be subjected to garbage basketball for awhile

Weren’t the Rockets 50 odd wins and only handful losses when harden, Paul and Clint played together? That team was insane

To get Covington we could just move Capela but we would also have picks left over to get Woods. That is a championship right there. We would also have left over picks to upgrade as well. That Westbrook trade is probably one of the most catastrophic trades in Rockets history.

cp3, harden, and wood would have a good big 3.

I know everyone wants to blame Tilman, but harden wanted cp3 gone.

Yeah, Woods probably fits that team better though I just wanted to emphasize how much better the Rockets would be by doing basically nothing for three years.

This organization is the architect of its own failures.

this is absolutely all poormans fault. We could have easily started 2018 by adding oubre, covington, an actual backup pg since our 35 year old starter just came off a season ending injury and jamychal green or whoever at the deadline. Who knows how good the roster would be now

No, because Gordon, House, Tucker and Capela “suck”. And Harden has never ever had any help. Right HardenFans?

“He had to get by with Pablo Prigioni and Corey Brewer! He had no help!”

JH: “The situation that I was with in Houston, consistently every single night having to get 40 points to give ourselves a chance to win for a long extent of years is draining.”

Now they’d be the best team in the league.

You can’t just take a previous team and plug it in and make assumptions they would play the same, no regression, and other teams wouldn’t also improve or make adjustments to what worked for that 65 win team.

LMAO does anyone say that? The only people we do say sucks is House and half of that is because he's does stupid stuff.

You are the "Harden hater" who slanders Tucker the most, get outta here.

Lol Chris Paul is better this year and last year than he was in 2018, you guys really dont understand how good Covington is. Add Woods to the mix and no one in the league competes with us. I can absolutely make that assumption about Chris Paul, Rob Covington and C Woods, those are all great players, Tucker with Superstar players is a great role player. Jeff Green off the buy out market. I really dont know how else I can explain this.

You don’t have to explain anything, you’re theory is based on assumptions. If everyone played 100%, sure we can assume we’d be really good. But that’s never a guarantee.

And personally I think Covington is overrated.

Okay. But I will say Cp3 will be healthy this year, you just have to get a good back up to limit his mintues like what OKC and the Suns do.

Covington was our second best player in the playoffs last year by the numbers at least. Honestly, I really feel with that core we beat LA and have a great shot at winning this year with assets left over to improve.

Westbrook trade doomed the franchise but Harden is to blame for that.
