http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/25/arts/television/25were.html?_r=1&ref=television&oref=slogin The five or so seconds of the novelty song sung in a flashback by Tracy Morgan on 30 Rock a few weeks ago almost blew me out of my chair when I saw it. I am so happy to see it getting some play - it was so so quick, and probably not something you can watch out of context of the show and appreciate, but honestly, they deserve another Emmy just for that blip. Tracy Morgan is incredible, and that should be the moment 30 Rock officially arrives, even more than the Emmy. Alec Baldwin is awesome, and Tina Fey is great, and a very good supporting cast. For anyone interested in a show with an Arrested Development-esque ability to take and knock down half court shots without any warning, I very strongly encourage watching this show if you have not already. I love the Office too, but so far this year, 30 Rock has pulled out of the gate quicker.
Ron Howard: Please tell your friends about this show. (Cue Arrested Development ukelele bumper music)
OMG, I thought I was the only one. EDIT: If you haven't seen it: http://www.nbc.com/30_Rock/video/#mea=166060 Boys becoming men Men becoming wolves LOL
best line this week when a P.I. played by Steve Buscemi asked Jack Donaghy(alec baldwin) if he had any skeletons in his closet: "my brother eddie sells faulty sprinkler systems to elementary schools, my cousin Tim fixes NBA games, my mother is an Olympic level racist..."
Yesterday's episode was in top form. Spoiler I couldn't stop laughing when Jack and Tracy were doing the role-playing with the therapist, where Jack was imitating Tracy's dad. That was pretty unexpected.
