Cool. I heard good things about it but I only watch what I Tivo now so I didn't get a chance. Thanks.
I thought it was a really good show overall. I've always liked Baldwin's comedic work on SNL and Tracy Morgan is always golden.
i thought it was pretty good with some rough spots like any pilot will have. not sure if it will last though but i hope it does. anyone watch 20 good years after 30 rock? i thought it was bad at first but it started to grow on me by the end of the episode. luckily nbc seems to be showing all of their shows on their website and cbs is showing jericho on theirs (a show i'm strangely hooked on despite spotty writing) so i don't have to clutter up the dvr trying to watch them all since they all come on wednesday at 7.
Oh man, that show is horrible. I've laughed more watching CSPAN than that crap. If you're going to have a show with former SNL cast members, at least get cast members from an era when SNL didn't suck ass...
agreed man. that was brutal. tina fey is so unfunny it's ridiculous. the 20 good years show was even funnier.
I thought the show was great, but I'm different then most I thought the only down spot on SNL was ANYTHING pre 85.. I'm fairly confident that 30 Rock will outlast Studio 60.. IMO, this show is even more funny than The Office, but I also think My Name is Earl over took The Office so far this year too.. How could you NOT like these lines?? "I'm from the government and I'm here to inspect the chicken nuggets."-Tracy Jordan "Are there other black nerds or is it just you and Urkel?" - writer with 'Ninja' hat on "Do you have apple juice?" - Tracy Jordan "No" - waiter "Then I'll take a vodka and tonic." - Tracy Jordan "It's not HBO. It's TV." - Fey "I cast that cat myself." - Baldwin
Baldwin was the reason to watch. It was a bit rough in places, but I'll probably watch again. 20 Good Years sucked. I couldn't make it through with that horrible forced laughter in the background.
Rachel Dratch actually had the role of the blonde when this show was first formed. Tina Fey claims she re-wrote her role so she could do more goofy parts. It's funny because the earlier long preview I saw for the show had Dratch in a hot outfit talking to Baldwin and the page came up to her with a bottle of diarreah medice. With the change last night to the new actress the page delivered the hemohroid (sp) cream instead. Fey has said a lot of SNL members will have parts on the show. She said Parnell will make an appearance in the 6th episode.
Homee likes ... I don't smoke crack. I am naturally mentally ill. - Tracy I 2 will not be surprised if 30 Rock outlasts Studio 60.
FAOS, sir, you are THE MAN. So she's always had that scar thing (I don't know what to call it)? Not possible, man. Chris Farley and Phil Hartman are dead.
no wonder I thought I was going nuts... I saw the pilot a few weeks ago and I kept reading the reviews saying Jane Krakowski plays the lead in the show within the show... but I all I remembered was Dratch playing the lead in "The Girlie Show" so they recast that character completely? interesting... I had my doubts, but I have also heard that it gets better with episode 2 and so on... I'll tune in eventually...
Yes. It makes more sense. I don't see Dratch as the lead in that type of show. Krakowski is good in that role.
This week's 30 Rock was killer. The Snapple bit was the funniest thing I have seen of network TV in years.
