moochie -- when yao draws the double team, they will leave moochie wide open, cuz they know that he couldn't shoot, even an open shot.

eddie -- 0 driving ability, when yao gets him open, he only could shoot a low percentage 3 pointer.

KT -- this guy NEVER pass the ball to yao!

rudy should never put these 3 and yao on the court in the same time!

Ill take it a step further. 3 players who should be on the court with Yao.

Rice - Has developed a nice chemistry with Yao. They seem to look for each other more than any other tandem on the team. Also, Yao can make that nice cross court pass to a shooter on the weakside on a consistant basis.

Francis - I know he doesnt pass to Yao as much as he should. I feel he will eventually. Steve has so many defenders collapse on him when he gets into the lane that Yao is wide open almost every time. Just look for him Steve! You cant miss him! Hes 7'5"!

Taylor - To be honest, I cant quite put my finger on it, but they both seem to do well when they are on the court. Taylor is usually more willing to pass than Thomas and Griff. Maybe thats it.

    Our best starting lineup is:

    Francis
    Mobley
    Rice
    Taylor
    Yao

All five of them are offensive options. and in a zone they can be a great defensive squad. If not we throw Hawkins in there for D.

I totally agree on Taylor. I think he and Yao groove well together on offense. Rice is a great match; he's willing to bang, and most important of all *nails* open 3-pt opportunities.

In the long-term... *maybe* Mobley, but right now, I'd put Hawkins in there as the other guard. He's a good defender that can help cease penetration, and make some open shots.

    Yao
    Taylor
    Rice
    Hawkins
    Francis

A logical conclusion drawn from the combination of the first 2 posts is that Yao will have to be fighting alone.

Actually, I think it is quite possible that the whole Rox team (incl. Yao) may be talking of "Let's trading Yao" because of his incompatibility.

Tell us how you really feel. You suggested trading Yao in another thread or two.

Do you really think the Rockets are going to trade a potential dominant center after only 17 games?

Its obvious that you are a Yao fan and not at all a Rockets fan. You should try and at least be more discrete about that. :D

Uh, dude.....ever heard of building around people? Im no Jerry West, but id say they'd build around Yao instead of let's say Kenny Thomas. Just a fan's prespective

I also think it is time to try MoT as the starter.

He and Yao work well together.

Actually, I think it's quite possible you haven't yet learned how to read.

The first post lists 3 players who should NOT be on the same court at the same time as Yao. The second post lists 3 players who SHOULD be on the same court at the same time as Yao.

    One's positive, one's negative.

Yao and MoT Do work well together But only when they actually get the ball away from SF. I have Seen SF freeze the offense a numerous amount of times and jack up some circus shot praying that it goes in(And sometimes it does go in) But we Need distribution of the Rock, I think Tito Maddox should be on the court with Yao. Just my 2 cents. :D

Well, nobody wants Steve here anyways, so it's obvious he shouldn't be on the court with Yao. :)

I'm worried about our rebounding if we put Ming, Taylor, and Rice on the frontcourt together.

    Didn't this bother anyone else?

Rice is essential. I think MoT plays great with Ming too. But off the bench with lots of consistent minutes. The starter should be Griff. He can grab boards.

Unless Ming shows more willingness to get rebounds.

I can't help but think that a 30 minute practice session would make Yao a MUCH MUCH MUCH better rebounder than he is right now.
