I thought he was the COMMANDER in Chief? The Decider? Is this just so the next time he's asked about the war in Iraq he will say "you have to ask my war czar about that" "why don't you ask him/her about that, they no more than I do" ?
General explains why he turned down ‘war czar.’ Retired Marine Corps General John Sheehan, who was offered and refused the administration’s new war ‘czar’ position, writes in the Washington Post:
i thought the president was the commander n' chief? wouldnt that technically be the "war czar"? why would someone who so relishes the role of being the "war president" want to create this position? "im the war president" - bush
Or just as good, be able to deflect questions... "You'll have to ask our War Czar on that one Helen."
