Oh come on.. TNT..Dallas/Miami...Lakers/OKC...what not to love? I pick Miami and Lakers to win tonight.
I want to set some ground rules for unbiased discussion of OKC/Lakers. 1. If the Lakers win, it's a playoff preview proving they will go to the Finals. 2. If the Lakers lose, rest assured whatever problems they have will be worked out by playoff time. You can count on them playing their best in the post-season. Carry on.
The Heat are struggling with 2 things right now that will haunt them in the playoffs: 1) 3pt defense. They overhelp way too much. V. good shooting teams, they'll get blitzed. 2) Rebounding. Chris Bosh has become horrendous on the boards. They're getting pounded. And Dirk takes some of the most ridiculous shots in history.
Count on them playing their best in the post season??? Could've sworn people said the same thing last year when they got swept..
I just don't see how this Dallas team can repeat their run last year even if everyone's healthy. Their defense sucks this year. Losing Chandler was huge.
Don't know if serious. This is most likely your first time watching the Mavs all year. They won't repeat b/c they won't duplicate the ridiculous shooting they had last year.
Uhm.. Looks like your first time watching them play. Their defense has been horrible. They lost a lot with Tyson going to NY.
they're 6th in defense this year. they were 8th last year. and yes, i thought at some point early in the season the heat would realize that 3's count for more than 2's but that doesn't look like it will happen. presumably orlando couldn't beat the heat but miami certainly wouldn't want to play them with no center to guard dwight and their poor 3 point D vs a team that launches them all day. if someone has a rashard lewis in the 2009 ecf type performance who knows.
Dallas defensive stats this year: 93.1points against, 43% fg against (80 shots attempts against), forces 15.2 turnovers a game Dallas defensive stats LAST year: 96 pts against, 45%fg against (81 shots attempts against), forces 13.6 turnovers a game
Watching games helps your knowledge of basketball. Dallas is better defensively. Rotating really well. They can't score like last year.
Doesn't look like the Thunder are giving much effort early. I bet they draw in their game early in the 3rd and this turns into a route. They're not gonna wanna show their stuff against the Lakers during this game in LA.
