why does it matter who was better? they were both great. i think biggie had a better flow but 2pac had better beats and wider range of sound and more meaningful message/songs.
Biggie. I am surprised and disappointed in you at the same time dekeman. you made a pool without Yao Ming in it!?!??
Pac is the greatest but Biggie is right there too... Everyone else doesnt even come close to these two
objectively, how much do you think your answer is influenced by living on the west coast (as its referred)? have you ever stabbed an east sider with your words? i love them both. if you know all the words to juicy you have to give it up to the fat one.
I don't give a **** about East Coast or West Coast. Lesane Parrish Crooks is from Baltimore anyway. Also, Nas ****s on pretty much everyone else as well. QB.
I agree that this argument is subjective, but youre saying that you werent flooded with Tupac as opposed to Biggie and you dont prefer one over the other as a result of your experiences? At least it has to be more familar to you. I'd bet money that in most cases, there's a geographic correlation. None of the suburban homies I know have lived anywhere near either coast so its genuinely interesting to me why someone would prefer one over another. How does anyone explain the dozens of Laker fans we all work with who have never even BEEN to LA?
As someone who almost never listens to rap, I LOVE 2pac. He's f#$king awesome, it's mainly the way his voice projects those lyrics. I've heard a few biggie songs but I can't get over the fact that he sounds like he's chewing while he's rapping. 2pac transcends genres, I don't think there's anyone remotely close to him.
Also, I don't think Biggie was great, good but not great. A lot of his greatness comes from the fact that he was touted that way from the day he died by Bad Boy Records during the height of that label's power and influence on the industry and most people just followed along with it.
i've got this song on my MLB 09 the Show playlist. let's just say, it sticks out like a sore thumb. i never know when it's gonna play...and it usually does when guests are in the house. gotten a couple of WTF looks.
