Lowry and Dragic any day. Lowry has demonstrated that he could consistently play at a near all-star level, Dragic doesn't have a shabby record as a starter himself.
And that matters why? Lowry and Dragic b/c Lin is about as far as you get from street-baller in the NBA as you get.
Yup, this is not about how the guys play in the NBA, stats or starting doesn't matter anyhow. Actually think Douglas would be up there with Lowry and Dragic. Lin is unathletic and has mediocre handles, also not consistent on shots when moving/dribbling. If you go by the logic some people here mentioned, a guy like Lin or Calderon would kill Rafer Alston, Crawford, Telfair, Harrington. Street and NBA are completely different, some of the bench guys in the NBA would flat out dominate all-stars on a Street Court.
Dragic and Lowry are insane defenders Lin/Douglass stand no chance Dragic would blow past Lin to the tin, and Lowry would bull his way over poor Toney Douglass drawing fouls
Fouls in streetball? Maybe charges too? Some of you guys think about NBA games instead of streetball.
That's probably the one statement in his post that I agree MOST with. Rafer Alston was a borderline terrible NBA player but he could dominate on the street. There is nothing remotely resembling a superstar call in streetball. You don't have a coach. You don't have an offense written for you. It's just guts and creativity.
You honestly don't think guys like Rafer, Telfair, Harrington, JR Smith, Crawford, wouldn't dominate Lin, Lowry, Bosh, Stoudemire, Horford, Johnson? I'm not sayin a PG would win vs. bigs, but if you go by fair size some of the guys I mentioned would kill All-Stars(notice I leave out Bron, KD, Melo, CP3, Deron because they would stack up well).
Exactly, no BS foul calls that guys like Wade, K-Mart make a living of. Things like help defense , reputation or veteranship don't matter in streetball. A guy like Alston would completely embarass most of the proven NBA vets.
So the majority in this thread goes Streetball Skills>NBA Skills??? Rafer Alston is the greatest basketball player ever...
