Here is the following record for the rest of the season, and I am not buying the crap about us playing a ton of road games against above .500 teams, whatever who cares. This is my prediction for the rest of the season, what do you all think?

    Tue 22 Seattle W
    Wed 23 @ San Antonio L
    Sun 27 Utah W
    Tue 1 @ Chicago W
    Wed 2 @ Washington W
    Sun 6 Dallas W
    Tue 8 @ Seattle W
    Fri 11 @ Phoenix L
    Sun 13 @ Sacramento L
    Mon 14 @ Golden State W
    Wed 16 Portland W
    Fri 18 Boston W
    Sun 20 @ Minnesota W
    Tue 22 Miami W
    Thu 24 Cleveland W
    Fri 25 @ New Orleans W
    Sun 27 @ San Antonio L
    Mon 28 @ Utah W
    Wed 30 @ Portland W
    Fri 1 New Orleans W
    Sun 3 Phoenix W
    Tue 5 @ Golden State W
    Thu 7 @ L.A. Lakers W
    Sat 9 @ Phoenix L
    Mon 11 @ Seattle L
    Wed 13 Memphis L
    Sat 16 Denver W
    Mon 18 L.A. Clippers W
    Wed 20 Seattle W

22-7 (That is very feasible if they do not have a truly serious injury!)

    54-28

sorry but i doubt they can go better than 19-10. which would still be very respectable.

the rest of the season is brutal. and we will lose a couple games we shouldn't lose.

20-9, thats my acurate prediction.. 52-29
    6th seed against seattle, a sweep.Rox win
game 6 of the second round, tracy hits a game winner to send us to conference finals.
game 6 of WCF, we get blown by san antonio, and SA goes on to win the championship.

Lets look forward for next season.........

18-11 sounds about right with that schedule, which still puts us at 50-32 and the #6 seed. I haven't done a game-by game breakdown, but Memphis' schedule looks every bit as brutal as ours - three games left with San Antonio, including two on the road, for example.

Catching Sacramento for #5 might be tougher if they can get back in their groove - their schedule looks a little easier, mainly because they're not in our division.

    just make the playoffs

    avoid injuries

    keep the chemistry

    somewhere between 16-13 and 18-11

15-15 locks down a playoff spot

anything 19 wins or more and we are going to be contending this season for the championship.

16-13. Hopefully getting the 6th seed against Seattle. I still don't like the idea of getting Dallas in the 1st round. The Spurs are the only team in the West that I consider a banger team in the middle. Therefore they should win the West considering the playoff officiating. The Suns have always been a perimeter/ fast break team with the possible exception of the Barkley years and have not farred well in the playoffs. Now they have Amare, but they still rely on the perimeter/fast break game. The banging of the playoffs will knock them off stride. They'll probably make it to the conference finals, but the Spurs should have their number.

I like the way we're playing now, but I think we resemble the Suns too much. I don't know how we'll do with the physical play of the playoffs.

However, by getting the 6th seed against Seattle; we should win that series and then play the Suns in the 2nd round. I think we have a realistic at beating them in the 2nd round.

19-10 with an overall record of 51-31. that's good enough for 6th.

29-0 (45-0 after we sweep every team in the playoffs).
127-0 (After next season) and 143-0 after the playoffs again
Let's hope this winning streak NEVER ends.

If we win more than 50 games this year, I will donate $50 to the tip jar and retract every bad thing I've said about JVG this season except for keeping criticism in house.

17-12 if nothing happen before trade deadline. However, if CD can somehow get another steal like he did in Barry/Wesley deal before and barring serious injure to our roster, we could really make a run on something special this season. We'll see.

did anyone think back in December, that you would have to apologize for "ratcheting down" your prediction to 9 games OVER .500

Dec 2004 BBS poster: I think 9-7 is overestimating this team. I just hope we can just go 6-10

Feb 2005 BBS poster: I'm sorry, but I think you are overestimating this team. I think its more likely we ONLY go 23-7

Um, yeah. I think you're overlooking one thing here. We already got an 8 game winning streak, so it's 53 straight for the NBA title.

    19-10

A lot of those losses are at the end of the season where we need to rest guys up for the playoffs. The record will feel more like 23-6.

    15-14

even the best teams can lose if they don't bring it any given night. i think we're gonna have some slip-ups with teams we're supposed to beat, and we'll lose some tough fought games against the elite in which we played well.

...or we'll just win the rest and this streak will never be over :D

If we continue to "improve" which is the key word here, and baring no serious injury and feed off from the hot streak in the first half, there's no reason why we can't get to a 50-32 record when all is done.

    Tue 22 Seattle W (33-21)
    Wed 23 @ San Antonio L (33-22)
    Sun 27 Utah W (43-22)
    Tue 1 @ Chicago W (35-22)
    Wed 2 @ Washington L (35-23)
    Sun 6 Dallas W (36-23)
    Tue 8 @ Seattle L (36-24)
    Fri 11 @ Phoenix L (36-25)
    Sun 13 @ Sacramento L (36-26)
    Mon 14 @ Golden State W (37-26)
    Wed 16 Portland W (38-26)
    Fri 18 Boston W (39-26)
    Sun 20 @ Minnesota L (39-27)
    Tue 22 Miami W (40-27)
    Thu 24 Cleveland W (41-27)
    Fri 25 @ New Orleans L (41-28)
    Sun 27 @ San Antonio L (41-29)
    Mon 28 @ Utah W (42-29)

I saw they reach 50 wins, which should be good enough for the playoffs...having said that, They go to the 2nd round and bow out...

i think we'll end the season with a 53-29 record which means they'll go 21-8 over the home stretch which is possible. I wont speculate game by game cuz that has too many variables to factor in so far away (injuries/trades/etc) but I do think that the rockets will take one of the two games against SA, beat the kings, go 3-1 against the sonics and beat phoenix as well. the rest of the teams are ones that the rockets should beat but there will be a disappointing loss here and there
