    holy crapola!

great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, movie!!!!

for you video game players... do you remember when you first bought the original resident evil game for playstation, put the cd in, and played for the first five minutes? more importantly, do you remember the first time you opened the door at the back of the dining room only to see a zombie slowly turning around with blood dripping out of his mouth? or... how about when you were running down the hallway on the other side of the mansion for the first time and those dogs jumped through the window?

well... i'm not sure about you, but i dropped the friggin' controller. it was the only game that made me not want to play the mf'er because it scares the crap out of you.

"28 days later" (although having nothing to do with video games) scares you like that.

these "zombies" (if you want to call them that) RUN. their moans, their movements, and their eyes... f'ing unbelievably scary. the settings, the cheesy music, the sounds, the english actors/actress... all perfect.

basically this movie was everything that resident evil wasn't. okay... that's not saying much. let me put it this way... best horror film that makes you crap in your pants while biting your nails.

that's all i'll say so that i won't give anything away.

    my suggestion...

go and see this mf'er at night like i did. even if you're not a vid game player... there's nothing video gamish about it. nothing to do with videogames.

just a great movie with... well... just a great movie.

go see it now, mf'er!

by the way, this was already a thread from a while ago, but it was merged with the "charlie's angels" sequel thread. i thought that it was deserving of a thread of it's own. :)

    go see it.

    that's thing thing...

sometimes movies that make it there in England are sometimes changed from the ones that are release here. i'm not sure if they are the same. may be... may not be.

I have the DVD. It's available in Region 2(which includes the UK). Good flick, but I wasn't all that down with the third act twist. The extras on the DVD are terrific though. I hope they make it over to the Region 1 version.

You don't necessarily have to get the DVD on eBay. There are plenty of sites you can purchase it from. In fact, I'd be careful about bidding for any 28 Days Later disc. A lot of them might be bootlegs.

I agree entirely. Fantastic, fantastic movie. From the scene where he was wandering around an abandoned London, I was absolutely hooked.

He can't have seen Howard the Duck then.

There have already been several threads about this film. I have the DVD, and it's a good film. But not great. The first act, in an empty London is excellent.
