Detroit have two more games remaining, should they win both and the Rockets lose against the Jazz, the Rockets would then get the 26th pick. Detroit's last game starts two and a half hours before the Rockets game. So if the Pistons end with a 53 win season, should the Rockets tank?

rest the important players in the last game. play the guys who haven't played all year. whatever happens, happens. 27 or 26 isn't a huge deal anyway. besides, my gut feeling is we trade the pick (with sura) on draft night.
and lose HCA in the finals? The difference between 26 and 27 is too small. I think the Rockets need to rest Yao and TMac. But the bench needs to make the best possible effort to beat Utah in the last game.
Umm where have you been the last week. We've been in front of Utah for HCA for a week and today we sealed the deal. Wake up friend
Ok, cut down some minutes and rest the superstars and sti PLAY TO WIN!, but... PRACTICE, what about practice ?.. yes, I'm talking PRACTICE.
Who has the tiebreaker between us and Detroit? It is very possible Detroit will be the opponent when we get to the Finals. If they hold the tiebreaker, I still wouldn't want to tank (the draft will be pretty irrelevant to us this year), but winning is a little less important.
my sentiments exactly. and I thought I was the only one who was keeping track of our record vs. Detroit. Were going to the ship.
We gotta play to win, you don't purposely try to lose against the team you are going to play in the playoffs. I say rest Tmac, Yao, and perhaps Battier or Alston, maybe both. Try and get Luther Head going. If Luther is on fire in the playoffs, its going to be over fast. He wasn't playing in the last Utah game.
I don't know if what you guys are thinking about but the HCA in the Finals is about a million times bigger than the difference from one scrub to another. Rest Mac-n-Ming but bench guys step ya game up.
