Most teams go into the off season with a lot of questions to answer and only a few known players to answer them with. The Astros will go into this off season with more players who have been in the majors and shown what they can do than any other team. It is the one positive by-product of having more players injured than any other team in the history of the sport.
I can go through nearly 50 players in the organization and come up with an accounting of what they have done and accurately predict what they are or are not capable of at the major league level based upon actual results. That is far more information than most teams can possibly have. It is an advantage we alone will have and all we have to do is recognize the situation and develop a method to utilize it. It will require hitting the ground running in the next couple of weeks. There are some hard decisions to be made right off the bat and getting them behind us will make the off season go much better for all concerned.
