Is getting rid of jon weeks an option? Can jarret patterson not learn to long snap? Open a roster spot

Does British Brooks make the team? I thought he looked pretty good.

That's likely why they gave him looks at FB, trying to find a way to keep him. With his size, vision, and cutting ability he would be nice guy to develop.

They have to keep him. A team will claim him immediately if he's release. Glad they're putting him at FB...seems like a good blocker.

He can run it too. Love home as a heavy back alternative

We've never had a British running back before closest was Foster. Cheerio mate

Can we? Of course. Is it a good move? I think not. There is a reason almost every team (if not every team) now uses a roster spot on a specialist Long Snapper. Consistency in special teams begins with the long snapper except for kickoffs.

Absolutely... I think the NFL should exempt special teamers (K, P, LS) from the roster count. But then comes the argument about hiding players & who counts as a team member, etc.

There will always be arguments about how to best utilize the rules and then taking them to the edge. The rosters expanded, albeit the practice squad this time, but with restrictions on stashing veteran players on it above designated salaries. This makes stashing the third QB on the practice squad more difficult for veterans like Keenum.

But this is just a continuation of the ebb and flow of teams seeking to maximize the rules and interpretations of those rules.

I don't understand why Ogunbowale is considered a lock to make the team

Good Special Teams Player and backup kicker. He literally won us a game last year.

He's by all accounts an excellent special teams player. He hasn't hung around the league being a bad running back.

When you start getting into the depth chart guys that's what it's all about
