You should play in a league with strict transaction limits so that people can’t win by simply beating others to all the Sunday pickups.
The media is so stupid. 2020: "Hinch and co. need to be discredited for the sign stealing scandal" 2024: "Hinch leads a young Tigers team to victory with his Astros pedigree"
Just saw the playoff schedule and Stros playing day games starting at 1:30. Good thing I work from home.
There were 131 Grand Slams, so an average of 4 per team. Doesn't seem too crazy for a team to get zero. Fascinating fact for you, Jim Palmer never gave up a grand slam in his career.
FanGraphs updated their depth charts for how rosters are used in the postseason. Interesting that their numbers come up with the Astros as the best equipped team for the postseason (at least in this methodology).
Bl**dy great for me across the pond here! How can I pretend to be working on something with wall to wall evening baseball in the room?
According to this the best balanced teams are the Phillies and the Braves. It will be interesting to compare the outcomes with these numbers.
Why? That's boring. Also it's baseball, not football. Having strict transaction limits would be pretty difficult over a 162 game season.
Nope. It’s the best way to play. Loading up on players on the waver wire, before your buddy can, isn’t really winning with your team. There’s a name for it. It’s called streaming. Serious leagues don’t allow it.
