I could see Caserio/Ryans trading for Jonathan Allen at the deadline. A dream would be for the Giants to trade Dexter Lawrence to the Texans.
No chance the Giants will trade Big Dex anytime soon. He's a legit foundational player you can build a championship defense around. The Commanders may be open to trading Jonathan Allen next offseason. The hurdle is his new team must extend him in addition to the acquisition cost. I love that you are still thinking of ways to shore up the interior D-line. I've been the same way since the draft.
I wouldn't have included the 4th video with this one. His man was open in the middle if the QB didn't run. Maybe CJ has already spoiled me with his ability to make those reads/throws
All I saw was space between him and the reciever in some of those vids. Any decent QB would've burnt him. Stick closer.
Our defensive ends are lights out. It's really looking like our cornerbacks are going to be almost as strong with health. Our safeties are decent and hopefuly improve over the season if Bullock is the goods. Linebackers should be pretty solid especially if Harris comes back and continues to play well. Defensive tackles will definitely be a weak point on the team, but hopefully not too badly. And if we are fortunate and the offensive is as good as it looks like it will be, then teams will have to rely on their passing game more than the running game anyway because they'll be playing from behind. I hope Lassiter is as good in real games as he has appeared to date.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the pick because of who was right there to trade up for. I liked the player but thought there was better players around the pick. This kid is legit, I still want to see it in game against top tier speed but we might have stole one.
32 NFL teams, 32 potential surprises this season: Stat leaders, breakouts and depth chart risers to watch
I hope the excitement of the overall team right now is not spilling over on players who might not yet deserve it. A couple of vids were shown as examples of his cover skills but they did not look impressive. I may be exaggerating some to ease my expectations as we get closer to game time. I mean MVP, Super Bowl, Super Bowl MVP, and Coach of the Year. DROY might be setting the bar too high. I need to stay grounded, and adding a DROY to the season might be too much. Would be cool though.
