I "almost" feel bad for Franklin, that dude has bad karma, he must have done something in life really bad to have this type of mo jo
I’m from Texas, but growing up “big time” college football to me was Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, etc. That region of the country. But especially Notre Dame. After awhile it became clear the SEC was the dominant brand and I never thought Notre Dame would be able to attract enough talent to win a championship again, despite their financial advantages. I think that's one of the reasons Brian Kelly left for LSU. It's kind of crazy they now have a legitimate shot to win it.
Yeah, me too. I was told Texas was going to beat Ohio State. You need to remember, I am always right. Don't root for Notre Dame now. That would just show you are bitter, you are better than that. Go OSU! Go B1G!
I don't think anyone here claimed Texas was going to win. I certainly never did. We played OSU closer than many expected, though. I honestly don't care who wins the natty this year. The only teams I never want to see win are Oklahoma, A&M and, currently, Georgia.
Both semi final games were action packed and suspense filled. The playoff system should have been in place years ago.
Never saw Saban as anything other than a totally driven, committed coach. Now Kirby/Dabo/Freeze/etc... he's an assclown.
It was pure player hating on my part. He started haunting me in 2010 and I loved to hate him for 14 more years. Kirby, Dabo, Freeze, Kiffin, etc. are all archetypal college football clowns and I love that they're so weird.
USC fight song is better IMO. Back in the day when their annual battle was a huge deal, I used to watch every single Notre Dame/USC game and loved the bands going back and forth. I think Michigan has the best fight song of them all.
