Lol all this is just talk. Nobody has one effing clue what the Texans are gonna do. The only sure thing is Bryce Young to Carolina. Other than that nobody has a clue. Let’s just wait till we’re on the clock and have picked before we bomb NRG. With that said…. if we don’t get a QB in the first round then this franchise will continue to be trash for the foreseeable future.
I heard this too and I don't mind Hooker but not at 12. If they were say to get Anderson, Carter (or some other position player), then get Hooker with their 33 pick that would be a great outcome. I'd be happy with that.
My idea is to trade down to 4 and up to 5. Use the trade downs for high 2 and then trade them for 30 and 31.

Yeah, I could see 5 QBs taken first round easily. It's why I think you just have to take a QB at 2. I could see if there was an Aaron Donald sitting right there, a player that's going to come in and transform your defense alone but there isn't. We know there are 4 QBs that are around the same tier of prospect then after that...there is a drop. Hooker would be on that tier if not for his age. We leave the first round without one of these 5 QBs though it'll be a failure, sorry Giannis, it'll be a failure. Picking someone in the 2nd or 3rd round again would be whatever, just someone to compete with Mills in camp and just a hope in the dark that we picked a gem.
If the goal for the Texans was to keep everyone guessing about who they want with the number two pick, then they have succeeded.
It seems like it would be foolish to waste the #2 pick on a quarterback that nobody is sure about instead of a defensive stud. The entire team is bad and needs upgrades everywhere. Use the pick to take the best player in the draft regardless of position.
