It’s so obvious it’s going to be Mayo.

Caserio not only was on the headset, he hand picked Culley’s staff and told him what offense would be run and who the DC that he hand picked for him.

When asked today how he will handle the coaching staff or what input he will have during games- he basically deferred to the new HC. Saying they “won’t dictate” the staff with the new HC and that he only was on the headset during games to “serve any way he can”.

    2 things:

-it’s obvious that whoever he plans to bring in, he trusts.

    - it sounds like it’s going to be a coach who has a strong personality and not a “yes guy”. Whether it’s Mayo, McDaniels, or Flores… he will be able to have free reign when it comes to how he builds his coaching staff and likely in-game management. Which shows, he trusts his NE guys, regardless of which one it is.

This should be the way. Honestly I think it might be the first time I’ve ever heard of a GM being on a headset. I bet easterby has a secret headset and furiously masterbates into a trashcan while simultaneously giving himself lashings for his evil behavior during games.

Can't believe Mayo is only 35. Would be interesting to see what he can do. I assume all of the players will respect him for what he has done as a player and a coach. Hire an OC with some head coaching experience and new OC and Lovie can help Mayo learn the head coaching role. I am not sold on New England assistants but I am sold on New England assistants that also played under Belichick although that is no sure thing. It does help to have experienced his winning culture as a player and now as a coach. Could be a Vrabel type hire but would be quite the meteoric rise for Mayo.

I like what I hear from Mayo but...I worry this is throwing so much at him. At the end of the day he'll be a rookie coach handling a team devoid of talent and or identity.

Last year everyone thought it was Eric B. I still think it will be Flores or some wildcard

This clip impressed me more than any I saw - he’s young enough to relate to players but what stands out is he’s immersed in the coaching process. He’s fully engaged and you can tell - I think he’s going to relate and communication skills will be strong -

Based on this video alone, I am very sure this guy is the most sane person with more normal rational logics than any of the head coaches the Texan ever hired.

Just write the check and hire him.

Agreed he seems like a perfect mix of tough disciplinarian but also very player friendly.

The expectation and standards from most of the Texans fans are very low.

Just hire a normal human being whose not a moron or dumb ass.
