Maybe he started drinking. looks like the old Ty Lawson we wanted in Houston to me. he's not much of a shooter but he probably would have been great as a secondary ball handler in D'Antoni's system... What a freaking waste of a season...

Good to see Ty Lawson playing to what he could play. Perhaps he is happy in Sactown. Otherwise, I don't think he expected quite the seasons that was last year. No one did.
Ty Lawson to meet with Kings' officials after missing flight Sacramento Kings guard Ty Lawson will have to meet with team officials to explain himself after missing the Kings' recent flight to Kentucky for an exhibition game, according to league sources. Sources told ESPN.com that Lawson was late to a Kings shootaround in Las Vegas earlier this week, then missed the team's East-bound trip before Saturday night's Sacramento/Washington preseason game at the University of Kentucky's Rupp Arena. The Kings attributed Lawson's absence from the lineup in Lexington to "personal reasons." He has since returned to Sacramento, sources said, and faces an uncertain future with his new team after the week's events. Lawson's agent, Happy Walters, couldn't be immediately reached Sunday. Knowing it would be forced to start the season without the suspended Darren Collison, Sacramento signed Lawson on Aug. 31 to a one-year minimum deal that was non-guaranteed, hopeful that the former Denver Nuggets fixture would seize the opportunity to resurrect his career and fill a void in their backcourt. But Collison was ultimately suspended for just the first eight games of the regular season after a misdemeanor conviction for domestic assault. The Kings signed Lawson only after considerable internal deliberation after the veteran guard's history of legal woes, so it remains to be seen how much patience they'll show.
I think two reasons Ty Lawson sucks now is because 1) his drinking problem and 2) The point guard position is much bigger today than it was 5years ago shooting guards are capable of playmaking and distributing the ball. you are seeing much bigger and faster guys who can handle and pass the rock. so now it's really just play maker and the rest of the position still exist
that didn't last long. He just can't control himself. Doing the basics like not missing flights..and it's still preseason.
Just wow. Amazing how many people with the talents and abilities like Lawson keep stuffing up. Isn't that why he has the entourage or handlers? Or is that part of his problem by having the wrong people!
