Hope the Bills game is earlier in the year. Don't want to have to sit in snow and cold. I'll do it though.
12-4 if we split with the Colts. Watt pounding on Winston would be a cool way to kick off the campaogn.
only facing three elite qbs and one of them, every time we play him(luck), we always lose because of something else ie a fumble with no contact or special teams miscue. the other one, breese, his offensive line is in shambles and their defense will make us feel like fitz vs titans. final record, 12-4/ 11-5
As of now, schedule is easier than the 2014 one. Baltimore solely made the playoffs this year via feasting on the NFC South.
It is.... but they still get the Bengals. They're essentially trading Raiders/Bills for Bengals/Chiefs in terms of scheduled opponents based on where they finished the year before. If we were scheduling opponents for next year, I can't say i'd choose a repeat of the 2014 opponents vs. who they're actually getting (and yes, I know they're still playing the Bills, but that's because they have to play the entire NFC East next year). If you look at those four teams, it would be really hard to say which teams are on the way down vs. which teams are on the way up. I'd say Oakland should be improved as Carr improves, and the Bills are trending upwards thanks to their defense... whereas Cincy may be due for one of those coach-gets-fired regression seasons that tends to happen after multiple consecutive playoff year failures, and the Chiefs are in full-on Andy Reid regression mode.
Replace Dallas/Philly/NYG/Was with Atl/NO/TB/Car. And replace Cin/Pit/Cle/Bal with NE/NYJ/Buf/Mia. I'd much have rather played the latters this season... they would have been a for-sure playoff team with that schedule. Again, its on paper... and the only reference point we have is the previous years results... but on paper, 2015 schedule is much easier than 2014.
As long as they're consistently finishing in the same place, division wise, then yes.... and this year they played them only because they play the AFC North every 3 years. They've actually played Baltimore more frequently, annually... and finally get a break from them next year.
Talking about TB? It wouldn't surprise me to see that organization pass on Mariota and take Winston instead.
That's not the order they'll play them... just the opponents. In many ways, when you play a team is just as important as the opponents themselves. Texans benefitted from playing Oakland and Buffalo early this season... both teams showed improvement once their QB play improved as the season went on.
I have a feeling that we'll all be looking at Cam Newton a little differently come next season. With that defense behind them, I think Cam is going to have a chance to make some big plays and Carolina may sneak into the NFC Championship and possibly beyond. Would be a hell of a story, and the NFL's parity has a knack for the dramatic.
