True NBA fans are exemplified by the guy a row behind this fool (wife is obviously embarrassed):

Pretty good synopsis of why every fan base rejects Lin.

FYI....Yao born and raise in Shanghai, China...the most modern and rich city in their country. His parent were Olympians for their national team. Mao grow up with all the training and resources from the government. In many case Yao had so much more then Lin. Yao did not face being a minority with all the stero types labels for an Asian amercian male growing up in the USA. Do anyone of us know really what Lin or Yao had to deal with to make it to the NBA....no...so Lin is a solid NBA player and deserse a level of repect from all of us.

Poor lin, he grew up in a town where the average house is 1.3 million dollars.

Lin doesn't represent asian americans, just asian americans who live in houses that cost 1.3 million dollars. That was before he became a millionaire because morey overpaid him.

Partly wrong I am afraid. It was not Morey's idea.

As much as I used to criticize Morey for things this one was entirely Alexander's doing.

    Insert Evil Sith Lord laugh.

It doesn't matter how much money Lin's family had. Even if she been poor and struggled to make the NBA, surprise! she still sucks.

And Lin does share a lot of the same passive-aggressive, non confrontational study habits as her loser followers. If they would learn more about the game and the true greats, they wouldn't be such detriments to every community they are a part of.

he's lof, any real rockets fan knew that Yao was the real deal and that the chinese government made yao play every summer.

lin plays with the lakers one season and he's fatigued.

on top of that lin is American, he didn't have to learn a new language and culture.

usually foreigners have it worse because they don't speak english well or know the culture.

But Yao overcame everything and played like man not complaining or making excuses 'god put this obstacle'...

    Yao dunked on his obstacles

    More like confirmed Danang78.

Some of you need to tone it down a little bit.

The mental midget reads this thread and he will end up going to bed crying again tonight.

LOL @ the mental midget not only crying to bed after losing his starting spot but also admitting it to the media.

    Pathetic.

There is your answer as to what is holding Jeremy Lin back.

Good post. Also Lin wasn't born with great height genetics.

Yao did work harder on his game than Lin does though, it seems.

Lol..you don't even understanding what the meaning of my post....its not putting Yao down but show how much some of you know about Yao and his background.

You should be ashame of being a rocket fan with no knowledge of Yao backgound.

Someone of any sense willl see you and others here how some serious mental issues with focusing on putting down a former rocket that is now two years removed from the team.

Most of us rocket fans don't agree with you, Tinman and Zboy....thats a fact.

My opinion reflects the majority of all normal real rocket fans....you and Tinman are the crazies...remember there are many rocket fans that are not in clutch fan site. They don't share your same opinions about Lin.
