Could the 2013 NBA All-Star Game in Houston benefit the franchise? If we have a successful All-Star game here in Houston next February, maybe the Stars and Players around the league will say, "Hey, Houston is a pretty cool place to be". Furthermore, let's try to roll out the read carpet to our guests for the All-Star Weekend. If players around the league have a fun and memorable time here, I'm sure there would be some player, or a couple of players who would consider revitalizing this city with their basketball talents. The potential is here for us in February and the city needs to be CRUNK for these players. Some of you may not understand the significance, but a 'FUN' lifestyle is important to NBA Stars. Thoughts?
haha /thread. 2006 All Star game went really well and everyone seemed to like it. Stars also practice a lot in Houston over the summer, many have houses here. It's just a struggle right now to get a star here.
i don't think houston is the problem...the problem is that stars want to play with other stars...nobody wants to play by themselves anymore --> dwight-deron, nash-kobe, lebron-wade, amare-carmelo, etc...yao-tracy...sigh...
No star wants to play for a team with no stars these days. They want to pair together. We are going to have to get lucky and have a star take a chance on us and build around that star. However, having a successful all-star game definitely can't hurt.
