No wonder Rick Scott is freaking out and purging voters as fast as he can. Latino 2012: More Potential Latino Voters in 8 States Than Margin Of Victory In 2008 The Latino vote has been referred to as the "sleeping giant." That's because millions of Latinos are eligible to vote but have not yet registered. If they register and show up to the polls, that awoken giant could determine the 2012 presidential election. In fact, in eight states, the number of potential Latino voters is greater than the margin of victory in the 2008 presidential election, according to an infographic released by the Center for American Progress Tuesday. California's nearly 4.5 million potential Latino voters surpass by four times the one million voters that were the margin of victory in the 2008 presidential election, according to CAP.
I think if Republicans didn't pander with veiled racism against Latinos, they'd be a viable choice for a good segment of the community: Strong family and cultural values with a hard working rags-to-riches mentality. But let's keep talking about vague notions of legality (when the biz side of the pqrty desperately needs them) and denying privileges to their children. Keep digging that hole
No kidding. What was going on in Florida was so horrible the courts had to stop it. When their actions strike legal registered voters from the records which is what was happening, that's a shame, especially when there isn't any real record of significant amounts of illegal voting.
“It makes no sense to expel talented young people, who, for all intents and purposes, are Americans,” Obama said Friday in the White House Rose Garden. “They’ve been raised as Americans; understand themselves to be part of this country — [it makes no sense] to expel these young people who want to staff our labs, or start new businesses, or defend our country simply because of the actions of their parents.” -- President Obama And Romney doesn't have an answer "Obama’s Immigration Move Puts Romney Between Hispanics, Conservatives"
