This summer I'm going to build a catapult. Depending on the power, I will catapult either myself or small children into the pool and/or bounce house.
buy some canvases.. some paints .. some weed.. some speakers and a good playlist... lock yourself in a room. you willl enjoy putting together some art and it will take a few hours here and there. perhaps you could make a side business idea a hobby. It's not fun but building a side business can keep you busy and builds towards a greater goal.plus new income. If you are trying to something active that's great too maybe something like boxing. Im not talking about kickboxing, I'm talking about real deal boxing. That would be fun to go to a gym ,and spar other guys and learn to box. great workout too. this is something when I get a chance I am going to look into. spending the cash on a software that does beats and synth music is fun too. It's a hobby and learning that sampling ,dj stuff can be a fun hobby. Same with photography. Taking pictures and maybe even a class in photoshop is a fun hobby that you can get lost in. Photography is something that is getting cheaper ,and more editable. Learning to edit and do videos could be fun too. I would like to even be able to make the videos with the rockets clips like clutch does. All that video software stuff can be fun to toy around with. be happy that you have this extra time to kill.
I'm restoring a couple of old BMX bikes - I've got a 1987 Predator and a 1989 GT Aggressor & I'm slowly finding New-Old stock parts for each to restore as close to original condition that I can. I want to start inline skating again..but this time to stay in shape, no more half pipes or handrails for me..I'm too darn old for that stuff these days, and I think I can attribute my hernias to all the abuse skating gave my body in the early 90's.

photography. i don't have much of a portfolio but im really enjoying learning how to use the manual controls and understanding what makes a great picture. also love firing up the grill.
On my spare time I like to perform brain surgery or maybe a little work on a high tension electric tower. Besides that, I like to comb my hair and feed my kittens.
Teaching my money saving class. Posting on ClutchFans. Hiking....too bad it's been forever since since I've gone. Now that tax season is over, hopefully I can get out more. Pugs
