Anyone watching it? I'm not really watching it. It's on now on the VERSUS network. Did anyone see the All Star draft? That's a cool idea. They broke up the East vs West and North America vs the World concept. They had a playground style captain's pick. One day, the NBA should do this. And watch Yao Ming be drafted last. Assuming he's still playing. Now, I couldn't tell you all the players in the game, but I know a few here and there. Sid is not playing due to injury, but Alex O is in. <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NcgYS5pgMRA" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe> Glad Cam Ward went first. Just saying. and the last pick. <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/scg8Vzu7PK4" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>
clearly you don't live in a city with an NHL team or care about one. maybe speak about things you know about in the future
So you're saying my opinion of the NHL is irrelevant because there isn't a team I like or because there isn't an NHL team in Houston? Maybe you should rethink about what you just said.
I wish the NBA would do this with their all star game but I could care less about Hockey, its way too boring.
fine, i didn't mean it that way. it was more of me trying to say, no reason to come in here to crap on a thread? anyway, love the new format of the game. Not a fan of the no-defense and no-hitting type play you see here... but no one wants to get hurt and I get it. Similar to the NBA. If it's close in the 3rd, I'd love to see them get serious
I do, I've tried to watch games but it just inst exciting there was an overtime game I watched and the Avs scored with like 30\ seconds left and I hardly noticed, no excitement from the players or the announcers its ok, but not something I would go out of my way to watch
Hockey on TV doesn't do much for me. The only hockey I get into is during the Winter Olympics. I watched just about every second of Team USA's games. Hockey live and in person is fun, though. To me, being there live adds more to hockey than any other sport. With baseball, basketball, football, and tennis (my favorite sports), I can enjoy the sport both on TV and live. With hockey, I can only really enjoy it live.
I'm thinking about going to an Aeros game. They have a day game, or should I say a morning game coming up. I missed the game because I had to leave my house.
At the very least, the skills challenges seem to be more entertaining as well. This format was actually kind of nice and it's actually not bad. The NBA could benefit from going into this type of game where the coaches could make the picks. I think understanding the game makes hockey much more exciting. It's definitely a team game and very rarely could one person really try to take over. Awareness in the offense and being completely active is key, with offside rules and line changes. There's really not much stops to the action and everything's in hurry up mode.
